Good store good values only complaint was the two assistant store leads having a conversation blocking open checkouts when I was trying to get to the check-out so I had to walk farther out of my way to check out then back across to get to the doors I parked at. They should have their conversations farther out and not block any open check outs

I have done quite a bit of business at scheels and have always been satisfied with them. But I went in a few weeks ago (80 miles one way) and in their gun department purchased a new rifle, for beginners their salesman made me wait well over a week for my rifle when that wasn’t necessary, after finally receiving my rifle I found it to be dysfunctional, I drove another 160 mile round trip to exchange the rifle, I was given a replacement rifle within a few hours of waiting in the store, I then returned home to find again this rifle was dysfunctional. On my third and final trip of 160 miles today I returned the second rifle and told the staff that I would not like to exchange this rifle for another one that probably will not work, at this point I’d spent well over $800 between ammo, magazines, time away from work, and fuel driving the distance to go into the store. At no point were the staff or white shirts around willing to make this right. I’ve never seen a store that has messed up twice in a row and is refusing to try to correct their mistakes with their customer, the price of the rifle coming back days in the future does not put a rifle in my hands. After doing business in this store since it was built I am very displeased with this and have decided to take my business elsewhere.

First off just going here is an experience!!! First visit in was greeted several times entering the door. Toured around until I got the grills and smokers and met Hayes(spelling?). Awesome young associate who answered my questions and sold the value of free local delivery and set up. Upon my return later in the week same experience walking in 40 mins before close. Upon going to the visa counter which seemed closed at first as I was reading promos Kim came over from another area she was assisting in to answer my questions and get my card application in person. I loved her approach and selflessness to ask if any other associates had already asked about a card. Then back to the smokers I went. I met Brad and we went over the model I was looking at and he even price shopped it for me to get me the best deal. Now we have 5 mins to close and haven't looked at all the other goodies ... No worries Brad never rushed me nor did any of the team members who came by on their way off the floor. Only cashier left was the customer service counter and they took care of me with no hesitation.Overall a true 5 star and great place.

Alongside them selling their wrist breaker non-NFA shotguns they also sell the infamous M249 however the fact it has a para stock makes most guns here more intended to hurt yourself than the target. Games are expensive and total lack of airsoft and overpopulation of airguns.

Nice store but disappointed with their price match policy. They sell a Mystery Ranch backpack for $549. Can get the same thing from Sportsmans Warehouse for $336. SW had tan and green for sale but only tan in the size I needed. Scheels only had green. SW would sell either color for the same price since they are identical other than color. Scheels wouldn't sell their green one to price match. I'd have been okay with either color but Scheels didn't offer tan. Ended up ordering the tan one from SW with free shipping and saved $200. Needed for a mountain goat hunt this Fall and had a ton of other gear to buy, mostly for camping. Ended up getting all the rest of the gear which was almost $1400 from REI since Scheels kept their prices sky high and basically said get lost.

Big store with everything you need for your sports and recreational and every day needs. Plus, I rode the ferris wheel that is right in the middle of the store. Good times!
