If you are looking to play at the next level regardless of the sport Austin and his crew will get you right. Best training facility in Bloomington/Normal area and an awesome work environment that works hard and is fun to be around! The difference in Performance Lab is they actually care and want to see you excel! Get in there and get in there to check it out.

I have worked with the owners, Austin Curtis and Tom Dolan, for many years. They bring a wide range of knowledge spanning from training regimens to recruitment process for high school athletes. Working with them I was able to improve my game on the field drastically. After my high school football career both Austin and Tom were still very engaged in keeping me healthy and in shape. The great work these guys put into making me the person I am today is the thing I love about this gym the most. Both Austin and Tom always treated me like family working with me to help improve myself both physically and mentally. I would tell anyone who wants to feel as if they belong to a family, not just a gym, to go check out the great things happening at the performance lab.

The performance lab has changed my life drastically in the past year that I’ve been working out there. The bonds that I have built with the trainers or instructors are great to have along with my skills and strength sky rocketing. If you want to play at the next level The Lab will get you ready for it.

The Performance Lab is a great place to better yourself as an athlete but more importantly as an individual. Great trainers surround you on a daily basis and work to get you to the next level. The Lab turns boys into men and girls into women.

There trainers, have tons of knowledge to give and work great with younger kids. There facility is extremely nice and keep things clean following covid-19 guidelines. You won’t be disappointed joining the performance lab movement.

I have been working out at the Lab since it opened and it is by far the best gym I have been to for student athletes of all levels. Last year I had to get surgery on my hip, causing me to lose 20 pounds, as a football player this was pretty devastating. Yet head coach Austin Curtis helped me gain back the weight I lost plus an additional 25 pounds while staying healthy and in shape. The standard for work ethic at the lab is very high and the environment itself really inspires a 'no excuses' mentality in and out of the gym. From the winter of 2019 to the beginning of summer 2020, my squat max has increased 65 lbs, my bench press max has increased 50 pounds, and my deadlift by 80 lbs. Also in the span of about four months my ten yard dash has decreased in time by about 0.15 seconds and my twenty by 0.11 seconds. I think of the coaches and staff at the lab as my family, I have built bonds with them and learned valuable lessons that I will never forget. The athletes at the lab are some of the most respectable people I have ever encountered, and among them I have Made various meaningful friendships that provide a very enjoyable training experience.

I've been working out at The Performance Lab since August of 2019 and have been working out with the head trainer Austin Curtis since November of 2018. Day in and day out, you are expected to put forth your best effort and push yourself to get better everyday. Every time you step through The Performance Lab doors, an energy from everyone inside hits you that is one of a kind. This energy is an energy that comes from a group of people that are like family. We are an extremely tight knit group that wants to see everyone succeed and push each other to do so. While working out in an amazing environment with an incredible strength and conditioning program, my numbers have improved dramatically. For example, since August of 2019 my squat has gone from 335 to 405 and my vertical jump has gone from 35 inches to 38.5 inches. Not only have my physical metrics improved, but my mental drive as improved too. The Performance Lab instills a certain work ethic, mental toughness and confidence about yourself that you have never had before. Without The Performance Lab and the athletes and coaches inside of it, I would be no where near the man or athlete that I am today.

I've been working at The Performance Lab since August of 2019. After only being there for less than a year, the connections I have made are ones I will keep for life. The community we have at the gym is truly a family, the support between the athletes to each other and between the coaches and athletes is one of a kind. Each Lab athlete is expected to bring their best effort to every workout, our coaches enforce this daily. The Performance Lab has impacted me not only in physical ways, but mentally too. When being pushed to be my best everyday, in a great environment, I have reached new possibilities that I didn't know I could. I had my first round of tests in October 2019, with my squat at 140lbs and my DB bench press at 30lbs. Last tested in May 2020 (after having a meniscus surgery in January 2020) I maxed with a squat of 195 lbs and DB bench of 65lbs. Being a Lab athlete is an experience that every athlete should have, I would not be the same athlete I am today without The Performance Lab.
