British Swim School of 24 Hour Fitness – North Boulder

We’ve done various swim schools with our toddler, and British Swim School has really offered the best balance of patience and gradualism while also allowing the children to be just a bit uncomfortable and grow.Hannah was wonderful with our child, and he really looked forward to the class. She was firm but fun and patient, like any good teacher should be.

We've had a great experience with British Swim School, and what it really comes down to is the instructors, who have been absolutely excellent. In particular, we've been working with Hannah, who is extremely patient and strikes an immaculate balance between fun and learning. The kids get to be silly, play, feel safe in the water, all the while they are into actually learning how to swim, despite their best efforts. From what I've seen the instructors emphasize being comfortable in the water, which includes each instructor smiling and laughing as the kids continuously splash them in the face, which is encouraged. My kid has made great strides in learning to swim, and I wholeheartedly credit his experience here. While we've been working with Hannah (extremely patient!), all of the instructors I've observed have been similar, and it's a weight off my chest knowing that my kid is learning water survival skills, and hasn't complained once. Five stars for sure.

We highly recommend them! Our three year old daughter Aurelia has attended their classes in North Boulder once a week for several months, and has had a wonderful experience. She has steadily progressed and gained more confidence in the water. The teachers have been great and work really well with the kids to make them feel comfortable and encourage them. Her main teacher for the longest period was Lisa and she was wonderful, but all the teachers so far have been great - professional, courteous, holding a great dynamic with the children and professional. The classes are well structured and effective. Part of the benefit for our daughter has been just being in a class with other kids learning together, and having some structure and goals, so it's more than just learning important swim and survival skills. If you're looking for an excellent swim school for your child, you should definitely consider the British Swim School!

Our daughter has thrived and excelled in her swimming skills thanks to the genuine care and coaching from the BSS teachers. She went from being afraid and nervous in/near the water to confident and excited! The teachers and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They give clear and actionable feedback and coaching that has helped Miriam improve tremendously. Cannot recommend this place higher!!
