Colorado Athletic Club Boulder

We have been members of the Boulder CAC since inception more than 11 years ago. (We also were members of the DTC CAC.) The Club did fall short during and for a period after the pandemic. But during the past six months, we have seen a turn around at the club. The staff is engaged and responsive, more and more people have joined or re-joined, and the pre-pandemic energy is being restored. The equipment is by and large first rate and more and more amenities (e.g. massages) and classes are being offered. It is a great place to workout during the autumn and winter seasons. Parking is close and easy. The cafe and its owner are a real plus--great and appropriate choices for pre and post workout snacks.

Was a member when they opened and just rejoined this summer for the pool. Maintenance & cleanliness are an issue. Over priced for a once stellar club.

This club SUCKS!!The pool is reserved from 5-7:30 PM tonight and many days during prime hours…between Masters and swim teams, long time regular members cannot get a lane.They are selling every last inch they can to monetize and screwing long time members.And they do not care because they have the nicest pool in town.How about a little balance or lower regular member fees?If you’re seeing this, do not join this club unless you don’t want to swim at convenient hours Or you want to pay extra to swim

I'm very sorry to leave a negative review for CAC, as I've been a member here for over a decade and have really loved having them as my gym. Unfortunately though, my feedback mirrors that of many others—their cancellation policy is very strict and unforgiving, even if you've paid them over $13,000 in membership dues over the years. (I was a few days late on the 30-day cancellation policy, and they would NOT make an exception even given my longstanding membership.) It just seemed like very poor customer service and left a bad taste in my mouth. You would imagine with this many poor reviews they would be looking for ways to improve!

i LOVE the colorado athletic club! i’m not sure why it gets negative reviews on here. any of the staff i have encountered since joining have been great. i have been here since 2019 and absolutely love the sauna. the hot tub area, steam room, sauna, and pool options are AWESOME. also have awesome classes available. if you’re thinking about joining, DO IT! thanks for being awesome CAC!

The CAC has improved since Andrea Trout has taken over as Manager; the pool and hot tubs are well under control and maintenance has improved. Andrea is very approachable, responsive and friendly. Great to see pool parties and food on special occasions. It would be nice to get a senior discount.

Joined almost 8yrs ago. Left during the Covid crisis.....No other gym like this in Boulder. Friendly Staff, they will get anything done for you that you need or request. We joined back a yr ago.....Great gym, up to date equipment, indoor/outdoor pool-Run don't walk there!!!! Highly recommend!!! In addition to the athlete's who go here.....There will never be a gym that makes them satisfied- If they followed the rules, payed on time, and could deal with the repairs(as everyone does in their home, office, or anywhere for that matter, they are doing a great job!

This place will do anything in their power to steal your money. They make "mistakes" when charging, do not fix them, and then they overcharge you. Do NOT give your credit card to this business, it was my mistake, and you will regret it sooner or later. I was overcharged hundreds of dollars because of their mistakes, and they would not refund. Stay away from this scam. The gym is ok at best, and definitely not worth the price.

Incredibly disinterested and detached from customer service. Advise of membership staff and recruiters is different to what the accounting considers deadline of the cancellation. They'll keep your money. Their gym is empty on most days. I'd like to know how this corporation thinks they can hang around given the level of dishonesty, lack of ownership and disinterest they are demonstrating from assistant manager level to their accounting team. Please stay away from them unless their leadership gets their act together.

I was really hoping they will be different than all the one star reviews they have. I was wrong. Save yourself from getting ripped off by this business. My husband and I had the joint membership for months. I wanted to cancel my membership while keeping his. I did everything right,told them ahead of time, filled paperwork like everything. A few months later they were still charging for two. For months they came up with an excuse after the other not to give us our money back.. We lost hundreds of dollars. With their shady business scheme they lost us and anyone we know as customers. Stay away from this scam!
