They actually pay a service to come through and kick out vans. I parked late at night planning to go in at opening the next day. Someone came through at 2:15A.Funny thing is she didn’t say anything to the other two vans parked in the lot, or the car that seemed to be trying to hide behind one of the vans.Lame, and anti-cool. It would make more sense if I, or the van people, were there all the time and constantly taking up spots from their customers… oh, and if we weren’t also customers.Hopefully the boulders are at least good!Update: The boulders were good. Nice setting- though pretty soft. (To be expected for the area.) Unfortunately not a whole lot of space for the boulders. This might be the only climbing gym I’ve been too with more fitness area space than bouldering. When you talk with the locals though they all say the same thing. “Movement knows this gym is too small- but they won’t do anything other than tell us to drive to Denver!”1 star simply for existing, another star for the routesetters.

This gym bums me out 😔 The bouldering section is way small. The ropes side looks nice, but it’s been tougher than usual to find ropes partners in Boulder. A notecard board like they have at Engelwood’s Movement would be helpful …

Friendly staff and probably some of the best setting in the front range, but the bouldering area at this facility is criminally small. Doesn't help that this is probably the most popular gym in Boulder making parking damn near impossible. For the amount they are charging and the members they serve, the facility should be at least twice the size and have more parking (or ffs at least pay the neighboring businesses to let us use their parking when they're closed). If you're an intermediate boulderer like myself that has a hard time asserting their time on the wall, probably look elsewhere.

Big, shiny and underwhelming.Movement gyms are generally ok to climb at. I am really low on the Boulder gym though. The route setting lacks flow and character. Feels bouldery, strength based for all the routes I try to climb. Also doesn't have consistent grade ratings. Point is, I haven't enjoyed climbing here. I won't realistically be back otherwise. Also horrendously pretentious and unfriendly patrons. As an example. I tied in and started leading this one route. I finished and got down and these two dudes were unhappy that I lead it because they wanted to lead it before me somehow. I don't understand.

After a bad experience at the first gym I climbed at (not in Boulder), coming to Movement felt like a breath of fresh air. The front desk staff was so helpful and not at all gatekeepers to newcomers (thanks Mathias!). The courses are pretty hard compared to the last location I climbed at but everyone seemed friendly and overall not as pretentious as the other gym. I look forward to trying some classes and using their gym, too.

Lots of options. Bouldering area is a little on the smaller side and can get crowded. Good array of gym equipment upstairs. Great spot if you have a friend to climb with, too many people for new people to feel comfortable trying out new routes.

This was my first home gym and I loved it. The staff was super kind and helpful when I first learned to climb, the member benefits are great, the facilities are clean and professionally maintained, I highly suggest giving it a go!The route setting team does a great job every week. The new routes are consistently challenging and fun!

This review is for the climbing aspect of the gym only. Movement Boulder is a great place to climb. Lots of route variety on ropes & bouldering. They are also changed frequently enough as to not get really bored. Some of the staff are fantastic and others not so much. Yes the Bouldering area is not huge but if you aren’t their at peak time, it’s fine. Peak times between 5-8PM are busy. If you go then parking will be a pain. Both locations have very pretentious people climbing..

I’ve been going to both Denver and Boulder movements since they each opened.I love the amount of classes they have aside from climbing, as well as all the stand fitness equipment you might need. The staff is usually friendly and helpful.Everything is pretty clean, besides the occasional blood splatter up high on a wall. 😂The routes are usually pretty good too and they change them out pretty frequently. My only complaint is the price, but I understand supply and demand. I wish it was a little more affordable.
