I've found that returning to barre has helped me find my center and ground myself. I've had two spine challenges in my life: a car accident a few years ago that broke some ribs, and a rare cyst lodged in the foramen of my spine, just earlier this year. After the car accident, I discovered PureBarre, and this class with Mish & Shalisa, and they both helped me strengthen my core + whole body. This allowed me to get back to running and cycling, which I love, and am forever grateful. Now that this studio is under new Management, ALL of the instructors are amazing!!Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with a cyst in my lumbar spine, which prevented me from moving. Until this was discovered I spent hours at a time (5+) sitting in a hot tub to manage the intense pain...much less working out. While it's important to give the body time to heal, too much inactivity can also be harmful. Now that I'm cleared to start be active again, I immediately returned to barre. This class once again (with ALL their instructors) is helping me rebuild my physical strength and flexibility, as well as my mental well-being.Even though I never took Ballet as a child... returning to the Barre helps me find my balance. #MyHappyPlace

Having taught and practiced in fitness studios nationwide for over twenty years, I have never been compelled to write a negative review: until now. New to the area, however not new to barre as I have taught and been practicing a variety of styles for close to twelve years, I signed up for a package at Pure Barre. I'd taken one free introductory class and was hopeful that Pure Barre would be a place I would enjoy attending regularly. After paying for a series, I took a few more classes and it became clear that the exercises and sequencing were aggravating medical issues related to my hips and back that significantly have been helped by all other styles of barre classes I've ever practiced! I realize that what works for one body, may not work for someone else. However, I think it merits pointing out that unlike other barre studios where teachers demonstrate the postures and walk around to offer helpful corrections around alignment, in the four classes I attended at Pure Barre, only one instructor came by in one class to show me how to perform one of the exercises. It seemed that it was assumed by the other teachers that the students just knew what to do!When I reached out to cancel the series based on Pure Barre not being a good fit for my body, and ask for a refund on the classes remaining - I was perfectly fine with paying for those classes that I'd attended - I was told no refunds, not even for medical reasons. Implicit in this business model that to my mind and experience is unjust is that Pure Barre's self interest preempts authentic care for those who attend their studios.

Even with years of barre experience I was a little intimidated by Pure Barre, until I walked in. Ella was so friendly when I arrived, and every one of the 4 instructors I’ve had since my first class were welcoming, supportive, and offered hands-on adjustments at exactly the moment in class I most needed it (are they psychic or just *really* good at their jobs?)Finally, the community is so warm. Each class I’ve taken the woman next to me has been friendly and as supportive as the instructor. Being in a room of mostly women (there have been a couple men in class which is great :) lifting each other up is such a magical experience.

I love pure barre Boulder! I hadn't worked out in a few years and have never been very athletic so I was nervous at first but everyone is so inviting. Their class cancellation policy motivates me to go which has been a great help. I highly recommend them :)

Pure Barre Boulder is a great place to workout. Since starting, Pure Barre has helped me get so strong and has complemented my other activities. And I feel good about working out! The instructors are amazing - knowledgeable and professional and really nice and the students are also super nice.

Pure Barre was awesome! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The studio is airy and bright, with everything well-organized and new. The teacher gave a good warmup before diving into barre class. It was a great workout that you could feel deep in your muscles. The pacing was fluid and just as you felt like you couldn’t do an exercise for a second longer we would switch the the next one. It was a challenging, full body workout with fun music and a nice feeling of camaraderie in the class.

I was invited by a friend who trains at Pure Barre. The place was clean, tidy and well laid out. The staff on the desk very friendly and welcoming. I was the only man in the class, but this didn't prove to be a problem or an issue. Coach Hannah led the workout and was friendly, encouraging and super nice. She took time to make sure I was doing everything right and corrected my form when it wasn't. The workout was hard, but scaling options were offered. I am not sure what the class I did was called, but it was a hybrid core & full body workout. I expect that tomorrow, I'll either have buns of steel or I won't be able to walk. Possibly both :-)I would thoroughly recommend Pure Barre, Boulder if you are after a full body, low impact workout.

This Pure Barre location is truly the best. All the trainers are amazing, super kind, and encouraging. They correct your form well, and really kick your butt with the workout. All the attendees are nice too. I come here because everyone is so friendly and nice. That and I really do a much better job working out when it's instructed :) What a great community!

Pure Barre is a great workout for individuals of all fitness levels. The classes are tough, but are taught by awesome/motivating instructors! The Boulder studio is in a great location and has convenient class times. Parking can be a bit tough at peak hours, so be sure to give yourself a couple minutes to park before class!

As a former dancer, it is very hard to find a workout that comes anywhere close to taking a dance class in terms of toning and enjoyment. Pure Barre is just that! You will get an amazing workout that's enjoyable. I love the teachers and the space in Boulder. Pure Barre is popping up all over, but the Boulder studio is still the nicest that I have been to. It is more spacious than most and the views of the flatirons are breathtaking. Go try a class....I guarantee you will become addicted!!!
