I have been going to this yoga studio for about 8 years. It was my favorite studio I’d ever been to. However, since the introduction and continuation of live streaming classes, much of the spirituality and intimacy this studio did possess is lost. Perhaps it’s because the yoga studio used to be a place where there were no screens and technology, it was an escape. Perhaps it’s because the instructor spends a good amount of time looking and speaking into the screen. Whatever it is, the energy is not the same, which is very sad to me. I’m glad the studio is making more money, but sad about the cost.

I LOVE The Little Yoga Studio (TLYS)! I have been coming here weekly for the past 3 years. When I found TLYS, I was new to yoga and admittedly a little intimidated by finding a studio. From the first day I walked in to TLYS, Kelly has exuded kindness, warmth, and thoughtfulness. Her classes are inclusive and welcoming – people appear comfortable to practice at all levels without expectations or judgment. Kelly encourages, supports, and recognizes everyone. She makes it a point to acknowledge everyone arriving, learn names quickly (I don’t know how she does it!), and makes you feel like you truly matter.I imagine it has been an incredible challenge trying to sustain a small business during the pandemic and balance the expectations of in-person and live-stream (virtual) audiences. Kelly seamlessly connects with both groups during her classes with authenticity. I think it’s wonderful that people can practice in either space and still be a part of TLYS community. The studio is cozy, unpretentious, simple, and welcoming. Kelly and TLYS are a gift to our community that I am so grateful I’ve found.

Did a drop in Vinyasa class on a Friday night. The class size was small enough to feel intimate. I loved the stringed lights on the ceiling as well. Jamie started the class by asking if anyone had a special area that needed attention. Even though no one spoke up, it was still a nice offer!

When I forgot my yoga mat I had to rent one for $4. I’ve never been to a place that makes you rent mats.. I know it’s not that much money, but it just felt icky to me. I’ve lived at an ashram and practiced at different yoga studios across the country and renting out mats just didn’t seem to align with yoga philosophies I’ve learned. The wooden blocks were hard to use and the space didn’t feel very welcoming and comfortable. I did in studio yoga session and it felt like the teacher was more present with virtual participants. She even started striking up a conversation with some of them while we were all just sitting there—it just did not feel intentional or sacred. Will not attend another class.

I couldn’t recommend a yoga studio more. Kelly, the owner, is so lovely and has owned and run this place for 10+ years (plus they just opened a location in Lafayette!). She truly gets to know everyone that goes there, and really takes into account what areas people want to focus on, pain points, accommodations, etc. It’s such a welcoming yoga studio, plus their classes are all in person and online! The monthly pass is only like $108 if I remember correctly, and it’s not a contract at all - you decide each time you want to start a 30 day unlimited membership and it doesn’t autorenew. Classes are like $15 for an in person drop in, and $10 online. This yoga studio is unheated which is SO HARD to find in Colorado, and it’s great! Sometimes they’ll have it be just a bit warm in the studio, but not so you’re full on sweating lol. All of the teachers are fantastic, they offer great class times any day of the week, and there are always some really fun workshops coming up (which I’ve also attended and recommend)! If you get a chance to go to Kelly’s 9am Sunday morning class or Bre Taylor’s Monday night Yin class, just know you’re very lucky :) those were my favorites!

Fantastic studio, wonderful teachers truly fair pricing. I really appreciate the zoom class option, they do a truly great job offering the class concurrently in person and remote at the same time. I’ve never felt remotely neglected during in person classes due to zoom. Great to feel connected to your favorite class + instructor when you can’t be there because of Covid or travel or whatever. Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful and truly authentic place to practice yoga. The instructors really know their stuff and do a fantastic job of including important aspects of yoga such as the yamas/niyamas and breath work into their asana practice. As a result, classes feel well-rounded and leave both mind and body feeling alive and rejuvenated. Owner Kelly is a kind, warm, inclusive and helpful person in addition to being an excellent yoga instructor. I attended a few classes while visiting Boulder and will be sure to be back here again soon! 💕

I love The Little Yoga Studio! All of the teachers are experienced and respectful and really take the "no B.S. yoga" philosophy to heart. They offer the best virtual classes of any studio and have done such a good job providing a safe and comforting atmosphere during the pandemic. Classes are also very affordable and I truly feel like the studio is welcoming to all!! I am very grateful to have the little yoga studio in my life <3

This is my favorite yoga studio in Boulder. All of the instructors are very kind. The vibe in class never feels judgmental or performance based. Just a wonderful cozy space. To top it all off it's only $10 a drop-in. Good, affordable yoga in Boulder is pretty much unheard of outside of this place.
