Courtney is not only an amazing trainer but person as well. She pushes you to your potential but understands your limits. She listens and doesn't try to make you do something you aren't ready for but will gently guide you there. If you are looking for a trainer, I highly recommend her!

I have found the club is friendly and has good facilities.My trainer Ted Lipp is excellent. He has been my trainer for almost 2 years. I have made good progress in getting stronger and more flexible under his guidance. He is knowledgeable and friendly.I think he has done a very good job helping me out. I’ve been training with Courtney at the Stratford Edge for a few years. She brings a professional style to her workouts, but also makes it fun to train. Three years ago, I had knee replacement surgery. Courtney was there for me for the time leading up to my surgery and was was instrumental in getting my knee back to better than normal. Her work with me, post op even impressed my surgeon. In my humble opinion, Courtney continues to impress with every workout.

I’ve been a member of the Edge Fitness Clubs for over 10 years. I have been to numerous classes at many different clubs over the years. Jimmy Beeman’s Saturday classes are the best! His workouts are always challenging and so well thought out.

I joined the Stratford Edge in April, 2023 with the intention to strengthen weaknesses, boost my confidence and commit to a physical fitness routine. I am a beginner and knew I needed to invest in a personal trainer to help me accomplish the above goals and hold myself accountable. Working with the support of Ted Lipp has already tremendously impacted me in many positive ways in such a short period of time. Ted's extensive knowledge and attention to detail is exceptional. I have gained much insight regarding; proper form, what muscles are being targeted during certain exercises, nutrition, supplementation, how to use gym equipment, how to avoid injury, strengthening weaknesses, modifying exercises to suit my skill level, and awareness of the mind/body connection. He goes above and beyond to listen attentively, answer questions and concerns in an easy to understand manner. I am provided with daily structured workouts tailored to my fitness goals via The Edge gym app as well as an app that tracks my nutrient intake. I am very pleased with my progress so far and grateful to be working alongside an incredibly skilled professional such as Ted. Thank you for assisting me in accomplishing my goals!

I love The Edge Stratford! The staff is friendly and helpful. Even the Trainer Supervisor, Andie and General Manager, Chris are available to answer any questions and provide encouragement. They have a great variety of classes, Edge Strong are my favorite, available multiple times during the day and night and their personal trainers are incredibly invested in your success. Thank you to the Edge Strong Trainers Dan, James and Jimmy B🙌. A Huge shout out to PersonalTrainer, Ted Lipp! I am deeply grateful for all your support and guidance on my fitness goals. You have taught me that no matter how busy or tired I am just showing up to the gym is a victory and every movement makes me stronger every day 💪

I have been a member of The Edge Fitness for over three years. Though my membership allows me to workout at any Edge Fitness, my go to is the Stratford location. The fitness club is very spacious and clean. I also enjoy the private smaller fitness room as well, and the cardio cinema. They also have a sauna, massage beds/chairs, and tanning booths. If you have time, you can create your own spa day. The staff always greets me with a smile, and are there to assist me with any questions when needed. I also train there several times a week with Courtney M. This is NOT just a trainer going through the motions to earn a paycheck. Courtney cares about your emotional well being, as well as your physical health. Lets face it! They're both connected. After all, you can't out-exercise what you eat. Courtney takes time to talk about emotional eating, mindless eating, and makes a plan. My journey to a better me...better wellness, has been a roller coaster. Courtney has been by my side, cheering me on from the sidelines. She will always ask how I feel before we workout. What aches, if anything. How did I sleep? She will always have a workout planned before I arrive...BUT, she is always prepared, and more than well versed in her craft, that she can modify your workout instantly to suit the situation.Recently, I was diagnosed with a slipped disc. Major back pain. I'm a positive person, but this was depressing. I went from dead-lifting, kettle bell swings, and leg pressing a fairly large amount of weight, to just using body weight for a while. Even a plank hurt my back. Courtney immediately consulted with me about what my physical therapist recommended, and completely changed my workout. She kept my body mobile and flexible, but safely. There were many days when I was down during my workout...my new workout to protect my back. Courtney did not give up, when I clearly wanted to. We are now, slowly and cautiously, back to using weights. Thank you Courtney...I appreciate you.

This gym is great! Definitely got me out of my comfort zone but the 5 stars is because of Steph. Having Estephanie Ponce as my personal trainer has been amazing! She’s patient, kind, motivating & flexible with schedules. Takes her time to reach out to her clients to make sure everything is going ok and gives great advice. On the edge app Steph assigns me the best workouts and planned meals that’ll help me to my goals. I can tell she really cares about her clients and will do whatever it takes to help them💪🏻. I reached some major goals because of her and can’t thank her enough:) The other staff there are also so friendly and helpful!

5 Starts for StephEarlier this year, as part of my decision to invest in my health, I connected with personal trainer, Stephanie Aponte at Edge fitness which was the best decision ever. She's bilingual (Eng & Spanish) which makes it easier for me to communicate with her. The two months we have been training together, I have seen such a difference in my physical appearance, and improvement in my health and confidence. Steph is knowledgeable in her field and passionate about helping her clients. She understands my concerns, adjusts to my needs and yet pushes me to challenge myself. Trainers like Steph have a huge impact on clients at Edge fitness because she runs that extra mile with them to get them where they need to be. Thank you Stephanie for your diligence and dedication!!!

I began personal training with Ted Lipp at the Stratford Edge in January, 2023. Previous to joining The Edge, I had done several bootcamp style workouts, as well as running and fitness videos at home. Having Ted as my personal trainer has been a total game changer! When I first started, I was a total beginner, and was very intimidated by the gym environment. I didn't know how to work most of the machines, and would not have known where to start if I was on my own. One of the things I most appreciated about Ted was that he took the time to assess my ability and developed a strength training program that was appropriate for me. If I didn't know an exercise or how to use a piece of equipment, he took the time to teach me. As someone who tends to ask a lot of questions, I found that Ted was always very knowledgeable, and could answer any question I threw at him. He could easily show me the correct way to do any exercise, and explain how it was working the various muscles, or what benefit it was having for me. He's a stickler for form and making sure you are performing the exercise correctly - to ensure you don't injure yourself. He's always paying attention, gives good, immediate feedback, and is a natural teacher. Working with him has built my confidence with strength training and in the gym in general, and I've seen amazing results in a short period of time.Every time I work with Ted, it is obvious he loves what he does and that he really enjoys helping others accomplish their goals. He always celebrates my wins, and is truly invested in helping me accomplish my goals. Ted also appropriately challenges me, and I've been able to accomplish way more than I thought possible thanks to his encouragement. Ted brings a fun and positive energy to our sessions and although I didn't know how long I'd stay with a personal trainer when I began, I can now say it's something I can see myself sticking with for years to come. I'm so grateful to Ted and all he's helped me accomplish! I highly recommend him to everyone!
