I don't leave reviews but after my experience I had to. I went to the gym with my husband as his guest. While on the treadmill I was approached by two employees(Julian and Joseph) who informed me while on the gym floor in front of other members that an account with my name had come up in collections and i could not be there working out if that was the case. I went over to the desk to try and figure out what was going on. Joseph printed out the contract and informed me of how generous he was being by allowing me to still workout. While on the phone with ABC financial he again stated to my husband he was doing me a favor by allowing me to be there. After multiple phone calls and driving to another fitness edge location to get another copy of the contract(the location in which i supposedly signed up at) to find out the account was opened when i was a minor which would then require a parent's signature which they did not have, no records of me ever swiping in at any location, signatures not matching mine or any guardians of mine, no DOB, no DOB or social for my guardian. To be embarrassed like that and have two employees approach me and then discuss why they were approaching me in front of everyone, instead of pulling me to the side after I completed my workout since i was being granted a "favor" was not okay. I'm not a member of fitness edge but if this is the type of interactions that occur with potential or even current members, this is one gym you wouldn't have to worry about me joining.

Y’all should enforce a sneaker policy people running around with crocs and yeezy slides. a weight falls or they hurt themselves thats a lawsuit waiting to happen & since when was a gym a hang out spot , have five friends in one bench or machine just chatting

Please bring back 24 hrs.I have 1 star because the gym hasn't been getting cleaned properly. It's getting nasty, cleaners are barely around to clean up, there's barely any tissue in the bathroom I had to ask someone on the outside to get me some at least 4 times. The gym used to smell clean when. You walk in now it doesn't. The employees just hang out at the front desk they are nice but I hate to see edge so dirty. I've been a 10+ years client.Please please please enforce the cleaning rules, cleaners should be walking around at least every hour to clean.It's flu season and covid is still alive so please do better edge stratford CT

The Edge is a great gym but this location is not big enough. It’s gotten much worse. They should of kept 2 stratford edges open. It’s impossible to get a spot in the free lifting area, cluttered right next to each other. Smart location for clientele but not for customers.

The edge is def money hungry and don’t care for their customers. I canceled back in October and they are still charging me. I moved due to military orders and they still couldn’t honor my cancellation and refund for past months. Do yourself a favor go to another gym. They scam you into getting the membership without full disclosure and their agents are clearly not trained properly.

Stratford edge is one of the best out of all edges. Fairfield they sick the employees are so lazy. If u want a shake make sure u order 2hrs b4 they close. Smh! Stratford the guy remembered me and my shake so he made it b4 they cleaned everything. I was so thankful for him to think of me. Trumbull, derby and Stratford are the best ones.

They clearly don't value their members since they have their hours posted wrong. We pay to be inconvenience, to have our time and patience wasted. Lucky i just paid the yearly fee. Otherwise I would never come back to this poorly run establishment

It's an average gym, nothing special. They keep canceling spin classes at night, staff is too busy chatting with their friends to say hello or good bye.

I have been a member of the Edge since 2006. In general the workout/gym experience has always been positive. My issue is with the billing. Recently, as I was leaving the gym, a young man at the desk stopped me and told me my account was "past due"...which was news to me. I had not been getting any emails or phone calls to let me know, so I assumed everything was good. Recently, my bank was switched from People's to M&T and I was told specifically by representatives from M&T that I would not have to change any of my automatic billing information. My membership payment had been deducted from my bank account every month. Now the Edge is telling me I have to pay $200-something for 3 months of membership fees, because of my bank's screw-up??? I don't think so. I mentioned this to the staff at the Edge and was referred to a manager by the name of Robby...who, of course, was not there at the time. I gave them my number and contact info and was told Robby would be calling me. This was over 2 weeks ago....since I can't seem to get anywhere, I am posting a review here because I know the Edge responds to, or at least acknowledges, google reviews. I am beyond frustrated at this point. So much so that I am considering cancelling my membership.
