Jason is a very knowledgeable and experienced Jiujitsu practitioner and instructor who has a heart of a teacher and a mentor. The gym culture fosters an environment where both competitors and hobbyists alike can grow their skills together and form meaningful friendships on and off the mats. Overall, CBJ is an outstanding gym and an excellent place to learn and practice the ‘gentle art’ of Brazillian Jiujitsu.

High quality instruction. Very welcoming atmosphere. I was lucky enough to be instructed by the owner. No idea if this is common there but it seems to be. He is old school and obviously knows his stuff! The techniques and principles and details did not require strength or speed. The other students were great training partners and fun to roll with.

I went to this gym for the first time and was instantly impressed with the way Jason ran his classes. He is a great instructor and his instruction is very clear and understandable. I’m a new student. The instructors are great and help you along. Lots of one on one attention.The building is older but the actual facility is top shelf clean. New condition.The mats have a foam suspension system which makes falls really easy on the body. Especially for us older students.
