I was racially profiled at this gym. I would not recommend it to anyone of color. I initially received a warm greeting via telephone and offered a free hour long trial session. However, when I showed up for my appointment; I was told that I must be at the wrong gym. The owner William acted like he had no idea who I was and as if he had never spoken with me. I clearly wasn’t welcomed in or embraced because I am an African American woman. Please never settle for this kind of treatment and take your money where it will be appreciated.

Highly recommend this place for all your fitness needs. All the trainers are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and there is an atmosphere there that makes you want to work without whining :)My personal trainer was Michael, who I definitely recommend for creating rigorous fitness workouts, motivating me to push past my limits and helping me stay positive always.

Highly recommend Phase II and especially, Michael Rudolph as a trainer!Pros:- Very knowledgeable, helpful and personable trainers- Facility is adequately equipped- Good price- Customers often bring wonderful goodies (e.g., produce, plants) to shareI worked with Michael Rudolph at Phase II (in Cary) for ~2 years to recover from my patellar tendonitis condition on both legs and for overall fitness improvement. The facility is equipped adequately. Michael is a wonderful person, very knowledgeable, sincere and takes very good care. Eventually, my wife joined too and had a wonderful experience. We used to hate going to the gym and working out but, Michael played a big role in changing our mindset, teaching us workout basics, injury prevention techniques, and making workouts very interesting. I recently moved out of the country and my wife and I miss Michael and Phase II sorely.Although, I have not completely recovered from my patellar tendonitis condition, Michael helped me make substantial progress on it, and also increase my overall body strength and fitness level.Thank you Phase II and Michael for your fitness support.

I recommend them highly. You train 1 on 1 with a personal trainer in a small gym with all the equipment and no waiting for machines, etc. The workouts can be purchased in groups. Can also come in and do cardio when they are open for no charge.

I like how comfortable this facility makes you feel. I also like the fact that its a one on one only fitness center. You don't have to wait on machines that interrupts your workout. You don't have loud crazy people to deal with.

I've done my fair share of personal training since I retired about seven years ago. I have also been fairly active athletically all my life. As I have toned down my sporting activity, I have tried to enhance my strength and balance by working with a number of personal trainers.I have found a gem with the team at Phase ll. Working with my trainer, Deb Richter, is like attending class at the graduate level in an area that fascinates you. I most appreciate the holistic approach she brings to our sessions, because she has elevated my wellness via motion and movement that I thought only possible through the medical profession. Her combination of skills, knowledge, and understanding truly allows her to customize our sessions oriented toward our mutual goal of 'delaying the decay' as we advance onward.

PHASE II has been an integral part of my life for over 10 years. William Wagner and his team of trainers work hard to create an individual workout based solely on your needs. It is always an interesting, productive and even enjoyable hour! I highly recommend giving PHASE II on Ashville Avenue in Cary a try.

For the past year I have been participating in a Phase II personal training program designed to help me overcome the many side effects of advanced prostate cancer treatments. These include muscle deterioration caused by Lupron injections, four surgeries and radiation. My trainer - Deborah Richter - has done a first rate job designing and helping me executed a recovery program involving exercise, nutrition and emotional/mental tranquility. Although the training has been interrupted by surgery, Deborah has helped me loose 20 pounds and develop a slim, fit, physical appearance. Assuming my cancer and the side effects of cancer treatments do not reappear, in another six months I will have the health, physique and energy of a man who is 20 years younger than I now am. Who could ask for more???Sonny Keisler

My trainer Deborah Richter is the greatest. Been training with her for about eight years. They have top notch equipment to work with and great people as trainers.

I have gone to Phase II since February of 2013. It started a couple days a week to prepare for a wedding. My high school physique was long gone and my diet was out of whack. I was skeptical of myself from day one that I'd be able to commit and maintain a steady work out routine, but Phase II proved me wrong. William is my trainer and his knowledge in the area and patience is commendable. I love the focused attention of one on one instruction and I see the same other clients each week.I found myself enjoying the results and the incremental increase in my workout stamina that I switched from going in the evenings to mornings so that I could use the energy from the workout through the day. And also so I wouldn't have any excuse.Fast forward to November 2014 and I could not be more thankful. My friends and family notice my improvement. If you are reading this post to this point then you should really consider it. The real reason I've been successful is because when I go to workout the other clients and trainers act more like a community. It's a great environment! Consider it and maybe I'll see you there.I'm the guy who will yelp out a Ric Flair 'woooooooo' every so often :)
