Don’t waste your time with enrolling your kids in the gymnastics program at Goodson! They teach them nothing and the classes are pushed into a corner because the gymnastic’s team, the Sparks, are occupying the gym at the same time. If they are going to have classes to teach gymnastics and have parents pay money then they need to better coordinate between the classes and the Sparks’ practice. Very frustrating and a waste of time!

Love working out here, I never have to deal with a crowd or creepy people staring like at all the big chain gyms. Everything is cleaned multiple times a day, nice staff, and I can be spread out when lifting or doing cardio. I feel really safe here especially with a pandemic going on.

Recently moved from Colorado to another state. My kid had been going to Goodson rec center gymnastics for almost 3 years. After we moved from Colorado, we visited 3 recreation centers here , All were 1/4 size of the Goodson recreation center Also here , there is no limit in a class, kids have to stand in a long queue for turn. Goodson recreation center limits no of kids in a class which helped my kid 1-1 learning from the teacher. And finally now after 3 months , we changed our kid to a private gymnastics class for $85 a month (4 days) which offers the same learning as Goodson recreation center. Goodson Recreation center is the best which offers great gymnastics classes at cheapest price.

I'm retired Air Force and me and my two children moved to the area after my retirement. I signed up for a family membership at Goodson rec because it close to my house. The first year went fine. This last year has been horrible. My son has been harassed by other gym members and been told racist jokes by an older staff member at the front desk. It's ridiculous! The staff member told my son as he checked in, "Not to stereotype, but the basketball courts are closed". Then her and another staff member laughed. I called the manager immediately. My son has been followed around the gym and kicked off equipment by older white people. I feel this is all motivated because he is a young black teen.Within the last two or three months he is harassed when he comes in about if he has a member at the gym. Like I mentioned before, I paid in advance for a year long family member. My son has his own Goodson Rec card with his picture on it. But yet he's harassed when he comes in and other white members walk right in, never check in and are never questioned or harassed. It's ridiculous and I will be reporting this rec center.Racism is alive and healthy in 2022...
