After working out with the same trainer for two years, I was put in a situation to find a new one. I took the time to research and interview several gyms and trainers before selecting Michael at Sixth Union Fitness. Michael took the time to listen about my past work out sessions, goals and performed a movement assessment. Out of all the interviews, he was the one who displayed genuine care about me as a person.Three years in, Michael has worked with me on strength training and reinforcing form techniques. I've noticed considerable improvement in my lifts and squats and achieved new PRs. I look forward to continued progress and new goals!

Michael is one of the best trainers you could find. He obviously cares about you and wants to see you improve quickly, but also safely. I had a couple of training session with him about 4 years ago and wasn’t sure he would remember me when I reached out earlier this year to start a program with him, but not only did he remember me, he even remembered some of the issues I had with previous injuries and technique tendencies that needed to be fixed. I did most of my workouts without seeing him in person due to my work schedule, but he worked with me every step of the way, answered any questions I had as soon as I’d ask, and overall I still felt like I was getting the attention and help I needed even without being at in person sessions. I feel like I got great results in a short time frame with Michael, he’s amazing and I couldn’t recommend working with him enough!

I happened to stumble across Sixth Union Fitness and Michael, and I can't believe how lucky I got. As a former college athlete and with my upcoming wedding, I knew I needed someone who would really push me while making the gym fun in the last stretch before the big day. Michael does both in spades, and I honestly look forward to training every day. I have been hesitant about hiring a personal trainer as I have quite a few injuries that have made weightlifting and cardio difficult. Michael, with his background in physical therapy, could immediately pick up on some of these old injuries and has designed a program that is specifically tailored to my history and goals.Finally, the fact that Michael designs not just workouts but also meal plans really sets him apart from the rest. He genuinely wants you to hit your goals, have fun, and make lasting life changes.I know I came to Michael with the expectation that I was probably going to phase out after my wedding, but he now has a new client for life. I mostly workout from home, but I signed up with Michael for a white so I could make sure to work out any issues with my form on the big lifts. Definitely a solid gym. While I wasn't immediately focused on hypertrophy or strength gains, I can definitely see that the gym is suited for all of it, and Michael definitely helped me out a ton.My personal preference is to workout at home, but this isn't because of any failings in the gym or the trainers; I just prefer to not have to spend time driving.Michael himself was a great coach, emphasising mobility before getting busy with the workouts.Would definitely recommend.

Michael is a fantastic trainer. He takes a whole body approach to his training, not only with respect to how your body moves/exercises together, but also incorporates gratitude and being in the right head space.
