Best in town. Pool, steam room, sauna, plenty of equipment, plenty of classes. I joined 5 years ago, looked at others but none compare.

Every weekend the older lady iS working she is always telling me to take my sunglasses off, or to stop playing on my phone, and checks every single time that I lock my box which is fine I understand that's her job but to only do it to me I'm getting singled out and picked on by this lady it's really irritating when she doesn't do it to anybody else but always wants to tell me something if it's her job to always do that then she needs to do it to every single person that's in that clinic instead of just only me I feel discriminated every time she's there

First rate gym. Best in CHS hands down. Nice indoor basketball court and good cardio equipment. I have a parking card and never have issues with getting a spot. Busy Saturday AM's sometimes the lots get filled, so maybe that is what people are complaining about. My only real gripe with them is that they run kids camps out of the gym and they last all summer and every long holiday (Christmas) it is jammed up with children. I love kids I have 3 of my own. I dont love when I come to work out, play basketball and they have the whole court taken up with kids and members arent allowed in gym. The fix would be simple, look out for your members FIRST and keep kids camps off basketball courts.

While a few people socialize, this is an introvert's version of a gym. Get in, get your workout done, and get on with brain surgery, intensive care heroics, or whatever it is that is next on your crowded calendar. Nicely maintained equipment and thoughtfully crowd-controlled. Avoid the 6AM rush for the best experience. Late-night is best. The pool is under-used and great value for the cross-training user.

Old weight room area with uneven floors, boring music playing a majority of the time. Tons of amenities like racquetball, basketball and pool though. Great staff. For the "#1 Gym" in charleston, I expected a lot nicer equipment. No parking with limited access with parking card. You should be able to use all MUSC parking lots.If you are looking for a true gym, Pivotal fitness is the way to go.

A very nice and clean facility. Parking is crumby but if you pay extra you can get a pass to park in more places. Gets very busy so if you're a little bit impatient or have bad anxiety, it might not be the gym for you. To be fair, there are good times to go but you'll need to be flexible.

Expensive membership cost for the basic facilities and services. However, the management people are helpful if you have any questions and problems.

Overall I think that this is one of the better facilities that I have belonged to and it really is a wellness center and not just a gymThe staff- very friendly and accommodating with guests' requestsThe cardio facilities- large area with many machines (lots of treadmills and ellipticals)- some dumbbells and the majority of the strength training weight machines (most are dated) are located in this area- clean and organized well- large indoor track that has windows lining the perimeter which makes running on the track a bit more enjoyableThe weight room (I don't utilize this area as much as the other areas of the facility)- on the lower level of the facility and newly renovated- mirrors lining one of the walls- both free weights and dumbbells along with various machinesThe pool- lap pool with a designated general swimming area/water aerobics area- clean and for the most part consistent with temperatureThe tennis courts- I used these until they closed them for resurfacing (still ongoing a year later)-outdoor track around the tennis courts that is still openFacilities/services that I haven't used- racket ball courts- squash courts- basketball courts- Spinning room- yoga studio- child care center- massage therapy (additional cost)- personal trainers (additional cost)

One of the best gyms in charleston. They recently upgraded their weight room with more squat racks. The locker rooms are starting to wear down with all the heavy use. If you are affiliated with MUSC, the hospital gives employees a discount and students have free memberships. The member ship costs for the public are expensive.

Awful. Too many reasons not to sign up with this place. minimum 1-year contract, no parking available during the day, most of the weight and gym equipment is from the 70's (no kidding really old stuff), floors are uneven/outdated in weight room, they don't bolt their squat/bench racks which leads to off-centered posture, people dont care to put weights back. literally could go on and on
