There is a lot to love about this gym from the size, equipment selection and relatively friendly staff. But the negatives far out weigh the positives when it comes to the over all facility. The number one issue is that the gym is extremely unclean. It's hard to look past the caked up dust, hair and spilled supplements that covers the floor/machines. The shower area in the men's locker room continues to be a massive problem as it is always dirty, the shower curtains are often moldy, the shower floors seem to go a few days without being cleaned (as seen by the same stains being on the tiles for days at a time.) And the shower heads are often very dirty. Months and months ago the new general manager reached out to me about the cleaning issues and assured me that things would be looking up but it's been quite some time and it's not seemed to have improved at all. I pay a relatively small monthly fee but it is somewhat frustrating that I pay my monthly dues each month but the gym cannot uphold it's cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.

The GM is very predatory in his sales tactic. It made me very uncomfortable to a point where I succumbed and got a membership. When I came in to cancel my membership he never informed me of hidden charges and made me come out of pocket way more than what I could afford. I would never come there again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Horrible experience with the gym employee Justin Yarber propositioning my wife. The personal training company they use is an absolute joke. DO NOT join this gym they just want money and that is all they care about. I will buy all my own equipment from now on they have ruined gyms for us for life.

This gym is complete TRASH now. The manager does not & has not tried to fix anything in this gym and not to mention it is DISGUSTING. Nothing is ever cleaned & the bathrooms are so unsanitary I really don’t know how this passes for anything to be open anymore. If something breaks, it’s broken forever and the air conditioning never works. It’s over crowded as well. This gym is just a no all around.

My best friend has been with Gold’s Gym for a couple years now and directly impacted me to get my own membership because she loved it so much. I, also, love this gym! This is coming from someone with extreme social anxiety and it was so difficult for me to even go through the doors, but once I was in I haven’t left! I even signed up with Lighthouse fitness for 4 training sessions a month and I really love my trainer, Bre and my recruiter, Madison. They have both played a huge part in making me feel comfortable and encouraged not only to sign up but also to show up and commit to an overall healthier lifestyle. I actually look forward to my weekly sessions with Bre and can’t wait until I can join her free classes as well! If you’re thinking about it - go for it! I promise you won’t regret it.

This is one of the best equipped gyms I've ever been to. The variety and types of machines and weights they have are awesome. It's a real old-school gym experience with a little bit of modern fitness center as well. So, I would give it 5 stars for the quantity and variety of equipment. However, I would give it 3 stars for the fact that so much of the equipment is in disrepair. Many machines are broken down or not fully functioning properly, and there is a lot of rust. The other negative is that they don't keep the a/c low enough. It's too warm and humid in the gym (which is also one of the reasons some of their machines are rusting). This place is good, but it could be so much better if they would just take care of things.

I have had such a great experience with this gym. I have never been super into working out, primarily because lack of knowledge with equipment and exercises. However, I purchased the personal training package through Lighthouse and have had such an awesome experience. In my time I have worked with both Colten and Bree who are so personable and make working out enjoyable! I have seen progress physically, but also nutritionally. I'm proud to say I no longer fear going to the gym and not knowing what to do.

Been to a few gyms and this is my favorite. The only reason I downed my rating is because over the time I've been a member, it hasn't been as clean. I've only seen one person clean up and that was back in 2022 summer time. I love the size and the atmosphere but also the trainers specifically Bre, which I'll continue on about later. I wish it was more cleaned up and things were fixed. I mean I don't really use some of the equipment but there is a lot of super worn, torn, broken, out of order things. Definitely not as nice as it was even a year ago, which I know still wasn't super good. We pay lots per month and cleaning fees but I don't notice it. Early 5am is more picked up I guess with nobody going later on? But it gets worse from already iffy stuff. I get it when it is super busy and people lack gym etiquette but still. Onto positives with Bre, she has helped me safely go through the gym after history of injuries and testing heavier weights. We get along great and I wouldn't want anyone else (especially being an early morning person). Super friendly and obviously keeps good terms with everyone there :) I've also worked with Colton and he was amazing. I learned a lot of new things and specific stuff to help with my shoulder. He was a good energizer in the morning and I enjoyed working with him when I did

I joined through a work discount program. Luckily, it didn't put me under any contract because I recently switched to a different gym after only a few months.* Equipment is generally broken, run down, or dirty. Any attempts at improving or fixing anything (for example, the new epoxy in the pool area) comes apart really quickly. The pictures another reviewer posted here recently are accurate.* Locker rooms are borderline unusable. Not only are they filthy, most of the locker doors are broken.* Does anyone actually clean this place? There's trash everywhere, and if you look behind any of the TVs in the workout area, they're caked in dirt and dust bunnies.* Since this gym is cheaper than the YMCA or SportsBarn (with allegedly similar amenities), it's full of rude, entitled children who camp out at machines, refusing to share while they get that perfect selfie for the 'Gram. If you can afford it, your gym dollars are better spent at SportsBarn or the YMCA.

Have been going to this gym for years and I don't know if it's under new ownership but the quality and cleanliness has SIGNIFICANTLY declined. Several machines out of order, rusted, or missing parts (weight caps and hand grips). If the equipment is not being properly maintained, why are we paying a membership?
