I am so grateful to be in a gym where age or physical ailments do not define your athletic potential. The coaches at PXM will meet you where you’re at and give you the tools needed to mobilize and/or strengthen your body. Whether you attend group classes or train through individualized programming, you will experience workouts that are thoughtful and intentional. I’ve been through several gyms and this is hands down the best gym in city of Chicago!Thank you PXM for the transformations you’ve made in my health and outlook in life!! I greatly appreciate you!

So pleased with the class schedule, instruction and overall programming at PXM. As a newcomer to Crossfit, I was excited to see that while the gym does participate in competitive events, there was no issue with me joining just to improve my relationship with exercise through PXM's focus on functional fitness. The strong sense of community at PXM is a direct result of the positive leadership and coaching there, keeping me motivated to show up throughout the week. 10/10 would recommend!

PXM its the best fitness center because they provide the best in class: facility, programming, offerings and coaches. Not only that, they are all about embodying their philosophy and values. That has created an amazing community and a place of belonging for all. Member since 2018!!!PS. Check their Olympic weightlifting classes and team lead by coach Lamont!!!

I've lived/traveled to lots of places and visited a variety of gyms. This is hands-down the best gym I've ever joined. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, engaged and committed to safety, technique and ensuring everyone has a great workout. The programming is also top notch - whether you want crossfit, individual design, yoga, mobility - there's something for everyone regardless of age, ability or fitness level. Highly, highly recommend!

As a person with physical impairments, CrossFit was something that always felt unattainable and pretty much impossible for me to try. When I joined PXM, the coaches took me in and made sure I always had what I needed to be successful without making me feel uncomfortable or singled out. Physical fitness should be accessible to everyone, regardless of your abilities and at PXM they will go above and beyond to make sure you succeed and reach your goals. I would recommend absolutely everyone to come to PXM, meet the incredibly welcoming community and coaches, and you will quickly regret not joining sooner.

Absolutely fantastic gym with increadible coaches and a great community!I randomly found the gym through Midsommarfest in Andersonville where they enticed me to try a pullup competition. I decided to give the gym a shot after working out at my home gym for years. I absolutely am loving the expereince. I have learned a tremendous amount about proper lifts, form, new workouts, and its insane how much my cardio has improved (easily 3x). It's been a little over a month now and I go pretty regularly. I even am trying to train for a serious fitness challenge in November. The highlight of the gym are the coaches. They truly work closely with everyone from your first on-ramp trainings to joining classes, they really get to know you and your capabilities. In class they remember a ton and make sure you are safe while still pushing to hit new goals. It's a ton of fun and the community is fantastic.Absolutely recommend people try them out!

I've worked out at several CrossFit boxes and this is by far my favorite. The coaches truly care and the community is genuine. The coaches know what they're talking about, are supportive without being pushy, and the programming is tough but flexible. Everyone is truly welcome. So grateful for this gym!

PXM is much more than a fitness facility. It is a place of community and friends.Honestly this place has changed my life for the better. I had always been intimidated to try something that involved lifting weights and I don’t regret it one but. Everyone is so accepting and you feel like you belong. They meet you at your level of experience and guide you to grow. I recommend PXM to everyone.

What's not to love about PXM? I've been a member for over 6 years and have no plans to leave anytime soon! In no particular order...- The space itself is clean and organized, with a range of equipment for classes and open gym- The community is supportive with friendly competition and minimal toxic egos- The programming is intentional, and new practices/classes are often incorporated for overall wellness/continuous learning- The coaching staff is supportive and meets people where they are at - whether you have no athletic background or if you're training to compete, they will work with you towards whatever goal and capacity you have- The leadership shows great care and integrity, openly communicating with members and always cultivating a sense of community & belonging inside and outside of the gymtldr; if you are looking well-kept gym with great people and programming, look no further than PXM

I cannot even begin to express how important and impactful PXM has been on health and life in general since I joined in 2019. I had slipped a disc in my back a year earlier and wanted to start working out again but was afraid to do so by myself, but joining a gym and getting a personal trainer was far too expensive. I figured with crossfit I could workout and at least have someone there to answer any questions. I still can't believe how far my expectations were exceeded from the get-go. Rather than throw me into a class like some of the other gyms I'd talked to wanted to do, I had a full month of personal training so they could see the extent of my recovery and my physical limits. Including educating me on how my body has adapted since my injury. From my first class, every coach was fully aware of my injury and always kept an eye out to check my form. When covid hit, they did not miss a beat and we were provided with at home workouts every single day designed for any manner of equipment you might have at home (even none). I have always been able to reach out to any coach directly for advice on modifications or any concerns. When the gym reopened, they were the first ones to be completely prepared, sending out a fully illustrated PDF on social distancing, mask, and sanitation guidelines and I have never not felt safe working out since. This year I broke my elbow, they were immediately there for moral support, and designed personal workouts for me to keep me moving without risking further harm to my elbow. After finishing PT, I was told not to expect getting back a certain level of mobility in my elbow, but the resources PXM has provided me, from personal 1 on 1 muscle release/therapy sessions, to modified exercises, weekly check ins, and knowing exactly when to encourage me to take my work a little further and when to hold back, I have recovered almost all of my original extension, my pain is reduced, and have even relieved tension in the rest of my body.As a gay man, I've often felt the pressure and stigma of body type in my community and other gyms. The community at PXM have never made me feel less than, the coaches and other members are nothing but supportive and encouraging. I've never felt more comfortable in my body in the gay community. I've made friends, I've learned, I'm appreciated. Even in times of financial hardship, never once have I considered quitting PXM as a way to cut expenses and I can never imagine leaving now.
