Love this place. For once Chico gets what other communities have had for years- decent pricing for a decent gym. No more price gouging from so called “local” gyms taking advantage instead of actually helping their community. Thank you for coming and leveling the playing field!

First time here. It's beginner friendly enough and clean. Employees seem nice and helpful

Clean, laid back and friendly.They are open:Mon starting at 5am- Friday untill 10pm, then7am-7pm on weekends (Sat & Sun)For the price, I am VERY impressed with what they have to offer, especially if you upgrade to their premium membership.I have been a member of Chico Sports club which is still a great gym for more advanced gym goers, I have also been an member of Anytime fitness which feels similar to PF, but isn't very big and doesn't offer what the black card membership does at PF.My choice will continue to be PF. Just my preference.

I have taken two memberships for almost half a year with Planet Fitness in Chico Ca. 1 for me and another for my 17 year old son due to my job I rarely go to the gym but my son does go and takes his 16 year old brother as a guest At first they made me sign the responsibility for them and hand over copies of their IDs and also a copy of my ID. When 1 month passed, the manager did not let my children in because according to her it was necessary for me to sign and bring the IDs again so I returned. home for them and returned to the gym and today, after almost half a year that my children go to the gym every afternoon, she once again denied them entry and my children returned home, I called the gym and they told me that she had just withdraw so I talked about the problem to the person who answered me on the phone and he asked me for my children's information and he says: everything is in order I don't understand why I don't let them in, we are Mexicans and now I'm already thinking that she is being racist, but tomorrow I will cancel the subscriptions because month after month they deduct the payment from my account and I don't think it's fair how that manager treats us.

Great place to get a good workout. Staff are friendly and are very helpful.

Let me start by saying so far my experience with planet fitness has been great! It’s super affordable and the staff is great! It does get pretty busy but it’s still a pleasant experience. My only complaint is the staff is not trained to know about their tanning beds or red light therapy. I got pretty bad burns from the tanning bed. I asked the employee about times and all they told me is most people do 12 minutes. I followed that advice and got burned. I got out before the 12 minutes because I could feel it.

Planet fitness it a great place to work out! You can't beat the price.

no matter what time you go, this gym is ALWAYS busy. it’s terrible. nothing like a packed gym every time you go to work out.

I’ve been coming to this PF for some time now and thought I’d leave an honest review. As some have stated, it can get packed but if you’ve ever been to a gym there are “peak” hours when there are more persons than other times. I come at a variety of times and mid mornings/afternoons seem to be the best time- for me. It is not too packed. You have the early birds around 4/5am who are trying to workout before work and those who are coming in around 5pm after work, this is completely normal for any gym I’ve been to. People are just trying to get their workout in. Sure, the facility is a smaller than some in Chico, but you can’t beat the price of $10 and if you want all the other things like the massage chairs/tanning you can upgrade to the Black Card. If you’re looking for an affordable alternative gym, I’m sure you’ll be able to get your workout in & meet your fitness goals. There are tons of different people here who are on different journeys, I’ve never felt uncomfortable by staff or other members. The staff members are friendly and it’s nice to see a familiar face when you start coming routinely. There’s plenty of parking and lots of spaces under the trees for some shade. The facility is mostly clean and there’s never been a time when cleaner/napkins were not filled. The women’s restroom is always spotless aside from people washing their hands and leaving a mess on the counter. My only complaint is that some of the treadmills are missing the cup holder piece so that’s a little frustrating, but most of them have them. Overall, I am happy to be a PF member!
