Great clean gym. It does get a little busy at times, but that's to be expected at a gym at such a great location. The staff is always pretty helpful, and I particularly like that the air quality is good.

A Crunch is a Crunch— but Newport wasn’t hateful! Came on a 3 day pass while touring Cincy gyms. Limited options for squat racks (3) but gym members were plenty nice enough and let me hop in with them!Kat from the front desk was professional and courteous. Even gave me a tour of the gym without my asking.Blake at the front desk was not cool. Very dismissive and standoffish— definitely felt unwelcome upon entering and exiting.Overall, a solid experience and I would definitely come back if I was in the area. The trainers seemed knowledgeable and welcoming, and the amenities were clean and well kept.

Overall, this gym is about what you would expect for what you pay. Generally had a good experience there while being a member for one year. However, a few notes when comparing to local gyms for same price. Men's bathroom is disgusting and does not seem like it is cleaned often. Equipment is broken a lot and takes weeks and months to be replaced for repaired. They also raised the monthly rate, annual fee, and processing fee without notifying me. Had I known I would have looked at gyms elsewhere and avoided additional charges (certainly not worth the current rates). I brought it up and they said the email of changes might have gone into my junk mail - not there. They were not willing to compensate me for what I was unknowingly overpaying for one month which was disappointing and bad customer service. They even said someone would contact me to discuss the situation and they never followed up.

Be careful when joining- there are better alternatives nearby. This is a franchised location that goes to unnecessary lengths and fine print to make canceling as difficult as possible for customers. Oakley Planet Fitness is a better alternative if you're looking for a gym in the area.

I had several really terrible experiences here. My husband purchased a membership to this gym in part because they have childcare. However my children do not watch TV. We come for 30 minutes to an hour tops. When we purchased a membership we explained that our children do not watch TV and they promised to turn the TV off when my children came. That happened many times, until it did not. One day I dropped my children offer childcare and there was one other child in the room. I ask them if they would turn the TV off and the manager in the room asked why. I said my children do not watch TV and she said but this is the cutest movie! She eventually turned it off but gave a lot of pushback. When I came back later the TV was on again. I talked to the manager of the entire location and he explained that in the morning They could accommodate no television but in the evenings they could not promise that because of higher numbers of children. I understood came once more in the evening because they had low numbers and had a child care provider that I specifically trusted because she had never show on my children television Before. However when I came to pick up my child again the TV was on even though there were only one other child in the room. It was not because of numbers that the television was turned on, they turned it on knowing I had asked them not to. I began to only come in the mornings. Yet again, I came into the room One morning and clarified with a child care provider that my child did not watch TV. She cheerfully agreed and said that she and the one other child would not be watching television. When I came back the TV was on. Again there was only one other child in the room. She said the other child had wanted television so they override my request for no TV. I tried to speak to the manager about the situation and he talked to me for a few minutes telling me that hypothetically other children’s parents might be upset That their children weren’t allowed to watch television. I explained that it was really important to me to be able to have a place to work out and the situation has not been that the numbers were too high and the TV was needed, They were simply showing my children television against my will and after having promised they would not. I tried to work out the situation with the manager but he cut me off mid conversation before we reached a resolution and went back to work. I will no longer be returning to the gym and I am very disappointed because I had been hired to teach yoga there but will not be doing so. The childcare portion of this gym will lie to your face and tell you they respect your boundaries with your children and then completely disregard them with no remorse.

Made the transition from a long time gym to crunch after moving down to the Clifton area. Of the multiple locations I visited, I was immediately drawn to the Oakley location. The facility is always clean, I’ve made quite a few friends with likeminded crunch members, but the biggest thing that convinced me to join was the staff and trainers. Great chemistry between the people working the front desk/behind the scenes and I’ve never felt so comfortable approaching a trainer for tips on how to better my health and fitness than here. The progress I’ve made and the community support has definitely kept me motivated and energized to keep coming back!

It's a nice clean place. It lacks equipment though and the staff is more interested in talking to each other than greeting members as they enter or leave. Definitely not a place I would recommend someone looking for a gym. Would recommend for those who travel and need a stop gap place to workout for a day or two.

Never had a more inconsiderate crowd of gym goers. Constantly having individuals leave their cell phones on equipment for five minutes and it’s never policed by staff. It is what it is, but if you’re looking for a culture of lifters who care about other lifters don’t come here.Pros: ALWAYS clean. Staff is extraordinary and friendly. But the member culture is terrible and the music is always obscenely loud when they have classes.

I love the staff, and the location. It's a beautiful gym. However the equipment tends to be broken often. They should repair equipment to give the high volume of quality lifters that attend that location more options to workout in a timely fashion.
