I go here in the mornings and it isn't packed at all. Good place with a lot of variety of weights from free weights to machines. The place is always clean and maintained.

To those who complain of this "non- active duty only gym" is because the other gyms on posts are "active duty only". When I got to Fort campbell I was so excited to come on post to work out but was quickly told no spouses or retired guest. Luckily, Estep was available for spouses, retired and DOD employees. I'm sure the other gyms have gone back to allow spouses (maybe) haven't had the opportunity to go since all the school closures in Clarksville.Reason I gave it 4 stars is because the gym needs leg press machines, thats the only draw back. They have a huge ninja warrior obstacle course in the middle of the gym taking up space. (Not being used) But this gym is better than no gym, so I can't complain too much.Gym is always clean and low crowds, I like it a lot. The employees are nice. I almost didn't want to leave a review because I don't want it to get packed, but I gotta defend the non active duty aspect, every gym on post was literally active duty only from the start of covid.

Great place... great staff...Do be aware that the Estep Wellness Center closes daily (M-F) at 19:00 hrs. It does NOT close at 21:00 hrs as the hours indicate on the big sign outside the facility nor as the website for the Estep indicates. It isn't a problem as long as you plan your workout accordingly... You can do it all there, just be aware it closes earlier than advertised. Keep that heart rate up and the weights moving!

I don't have an issue with the staff but revisited recently and yes it is more crowded also not a fan of the entrance (ninja warrior thing in the front) agree with some others that I actually miss the fee based; If we had Fee's safe to assume it would be open on Sunday's and their saturday schedule is only for a few hours (because of spin classes). They removed those great Ivanko weights (go ahead and price those online) and replaced them with ubiquitous HammerStrength.. These are bulky and cumberson not as good as the ivanko's which were old but were incredible weights. They still have the crooked bars but i'm sure those will be replaced with not as good stuff.

I went to Estep for years. I recently came back for a short while and it's definitely changed for the worse as others have said. …

This went from the best gym on post to the worst. We didn’t mind paying the monthly fee. It’s just too small to be a free gym, plus it’s closed on the weekends now. There was a reason people paid to go there.

This place has very outdated machines and all the weight bars are rusty and none of the plates match. There is a hig jungle gym for people who think they are American ninjas but really aren't. It boasts of a sauna and steam room but they're …

was the best gym in town; now because of cost cutting measures of paying staff to work weekend when most people would like to use facility is now closed on weekends. This gym is now closed every weekend and national holidays- sad state of affairs.

It once was one of the best gyms on post, I had no issue paying to use it. They put the adult jungle gym in it (would have made a better fit in Frat gym), removed some equipment and changed the hours. Your still able to get a work out there but its a great example of why you don't fix things that are not broken. Its sad that now it's free I only go as a last resort. Its as if they gave Estep gym a unneeded lobotomy the building is still there but what made it great has been taken. RIP EWC.

Fantastic! I use it every morning - has a variety of equipment and is the most reasonably priced Gym in the area. Unfortunately, it is only available to those affiliated with the military.
