This review is in no way a hit to the people who are at the counter when you walk in, or the people who are at the personal trainers desk.Recently I was given a lawsuit from a loan I had forgot about..I reached out to the billing department to try freezing/holding my account until the suit was taken care of, to which they told me that I couldn't do that and that any unused sessions would be available to me 4 months after the contract had ended. I responded, asking if they could make an exception due to the nature of me asking and they said that if I had a bankruptcy order from a court, they would "review and address accordingly."Prior to writing my review, I read a few of the others already posted. Considering how many of them say the same thing regarding the same thing, there is an obvious issue with the company's accounting department. Do yourself a favor and stay away from any personal training at golds gym. The people who do the training are great, and even they can't believe the way their billing department handles things.

Quick to take my money but i have a certain time frame to cancel my membership. That timeframe is during typical work hours by the way.

Fine gym until you want to cancel your membership. I’ve been given the run around since April. It’s ridiculous and no one is ever available to talk to handle this. I’ll contact BBB and my bank.

I haven’t used the gym I’ve only been to the Zumba classes here which are so much fun. I came to brag on an employee by the name of Myel. He works at a new location in Nashville. He always made me feel welcomed. His concern was about making sure I got to my class on time which I truly appreciate. He will be missed. I’ve only encountered one employee so far that seem like he had an attitude. Everyone else has been pretty chill and don’t take the job too serious which makes me want to continue coming in.

Love the gym. Staff are friendly. 99 percent of the equipment is functional and in good shape.

Good gym except for the people that go there. Definitely avoid the 2 bald old men in the morning! 4am-ish.. God damn they are annoying!!! Slamming and screaming! Also the "PR" chubby men hrs ...

Called to cancel, I was told over the phone my membership was cancelled. I received a email from Lucas G. The collection manager saying I am over due on payments and it will be sent to collections. After being told by his team member my membership was cancelled. We go back and forth between emails. The compromise he proposed was for me to pay $130 vs the initial $200 charge. After asking how it is my fault his staff did not do the proper cancellation or inform me how to cancel properly. He just told me “OK” and said I will be sent to collections. Very very poor business etiquette. By far the worste I have ever delt with. I do not leave reviews about businesses. But this experience deserves to be shared so no one else makes the mistake of signing up and going to golds. Go to any other gym vs Golds.

I’ve gone a few times for classes I signed up with though class pass, so I’m not actually a member but the staff have really gone above and beyond to take care of me. Really impressed with the customer service. The manager Brit is also super cool- there was a confusion around the class I signed up for so she just let me get a workout in and come back later for a free class. When I came back for hot yoga their instructor Dan was THE best yoga teacher I have had in terms of making it fun, physically challenging and and emotional release too. I plan to come back lots more.

Despite the dusty and hair filled workout area, the constant hotness and smell of circus animals in the weight room, and torn machines, I was willing to give them a chance. My husband signed us up, then canceled my portion of the membership. When I was ready to go he found out they never did and could not cancel me and had been charging us the whole time for two people. Not once did they notify us that he could not take me off without canceling the entire membership and starting over. But I decided to do personal training through them. They use a company called Lighthouse Fitness Management for personal training and they are a SCAM! Without notice, the trainers do not show up. As a result, I tried to cancel my contract with them. But that has been a nightmare on its own. I paid my first and last month when signing the contract, and now they're requesting I pay money for the next billing cycle as it falls within my 30-day cancellation window. Plus $777.36 for canceling. They are charging me over $1100 for choosing not to do business with them because they are unprofessional and cannot provide consistency to dedicated clients. This whole concept of the business is a hoax. I do not want to do business with a company that breaches a contract, lacks accountability, and then ignores you numerous times when you say you would like to cancel. I consistently voiced my displeasure and how I did not feel comfortable because of the lack of professionalism, but I kept getting the run-around. Nonetheless, we will be canceling our membership with the gym too. I cannot continue to do business with a place that uses this type of company for personal training.

If i could give 10 stars, i would! Honestly so glad I joined this gym. I was looking for somewhere affordable where I could lose a few pounds. I ended up getting so much more. I couldn't ask for more from the kids club. They are attentive, approachable and extremely welcoming to the kiddos and parents. My daughter does not easily warm up to others but now looks forward to going every single time. Well done Golds Gym! Can't wait to continue my journey at my new gym home.
