Gold's Gym Largo/Clearwater

Been a member for about 10 months. All the trainers are super friendly. Been personally working with trainer Joey to decrease a problem lower back soreness. I can definitely tell the difference between the first day and now.

1 star because I have to give a star. I recently got hurt so I wasn't working out for a day or 2. I have my best friend of 7 years who is usually a training partner that goes to this gym when he trains alone but usually we go to LA. I told him I'd still go to be there and just push him if he'd like spot him and just be there and so I did. They charged me $6 just to hang out and look around I was like fine whatever. Then one of the managers started a big argument with me in the gym saying that I was personal training and kept cutting me off and was demeaning. After that I walked up to the counter to speak to both managers calmly and apologize for the misunderstanding and just clear things up because I'm not a trainer and this is just my friend I'm with. The other younger manager was extremely demeaning and highly disrespectful to me I couldn't even believe. He even hinted that we should pretty much step outside and handle things very clearly. I told him if this is the case, he could cancel my friends membership because I'll put him on my family plan and we'll be on our way and walked away. He then came around the gym, stood in between me and my friend, and kissed his ass to make him stay. I'm the one who got my friend into fitness and told him to get the membership so I brought them business really. But that won't be for long. EXTREMELY LOW CLASS. And the atmosphere and vibe is just seriously terrible. I seriously can not believe this is a Golds....... BY THE WAY! This explains why they are doing so bad they have there membership on Groupon for $40 for 3 months INCLUDING initiation fee...my friend payed $100 just initiation....this whole things a scam STAY AWAY!

It's golds guys and gals. Great equipment. If people or atmosphere bother you you should remember you're worried about the wrong thing. The weights are heavy and the staff is helpful. It's a business so nothing's free. Duh. I drive from gulf to bay to east bay everyday just to enjoy the facility. Focus y'all.

I've been a member here over a year after switching from Planet Fitness, I was a member of PF for at least 3 years. I'm very happy with this gym because the hours are super convenient, and the people are very friendly. Gold's does a superb job with motivational music that gets you going. Gold's has all the real equipment you might want, and great group classes for all ages and abilities.Planet Fitness had the worst music! I realize a lot of people bring headphone to the gym but I don't. At the time I switched, PF was actually starting to air commercials(!) on their Planet Fitness TVs/sound system (what?!). The commercials were the last straw for me. The music was already terrible and non motivational, then they're forcing me to listen to drug company commercials/propaganda! Fuddegaboutit.I recommend going to Gold's. They've got different classes and times geared toward everybody, and lots of smiling faces.

The gym has a great selection of equipment but I find the staff to be a little pushy with trying to sell their shirts and towels. No doubt from instruction from the owners. Don't get me wrong they are polite and nice but I think I'd be satisfied with beeping in with my card and a headnod then being stopped for a conversation.

I was in town for vacation with the family. Compared to many gyms I’ve visited over the years I can easily say this is a five star place. Extremely friendly staff, clean facilities and every kind of workout equipment one could use was in this gym. All equipment was failrly new and well maintained. I went in every day around 7am and had no issue with the gym being overly busy.

I've been working out at this gym for a year and a half now. It's easily one of the best Gold's facilities around. It's new and spotless. Always see the staff cleaning every part of the gym.They were open even without power after IRMA. Have all the equipment I need, and even when it's busy, there is room to move around.Stuart, Tony and the rest of the staff always reach out and say hello. Only suggestion is maybe change the music rotation every so often lol.No complaints. Love the atmosphere.

Just joined a couple of weeks ago. It’s always been a struggle for me to go to a gym, much less feel comfortable at one. This one is the absolute perfect size, and everyone is so outstandingly friendly and helpful. I feel comfortable asking any and all questions. The trainer I’ve been working with, Elizabeth, is phenomenal. She’s so patient and thorough. The gym itself is very modern and always clean which is a huge plus also. The only thing is I wish they had a doggy day care! If I was having to choose between two gyms that I liked, the one w the doggy daycare would win, hands down! Other than that, I love this place. I actually look forward to going every chance I get.

I love this gym they treat you like family everyone's nice in the helpful if you have any questions about the gym they help you out with anything that you ask if you get the gold membership it provide you with all the classes and it helps you out with child care during the time to go to the gym it's a wonderful place to work out

The staff is extremely helpful and nice! I would recommend this gym to anyone who cares about friendly people and a very well kept gym!
