“Best university rec center in the nation” yet somehow too small, without enough weights areas, and convoluted in layout. Good chance the equipment you want will already be in use.

A very nice and clean place to workout!! Olivia Bader is a rock star at teaching swim lessons! The only downfall of the location is the parking!!

I've took my bachelor at Mizzou , easily the best college rec in the U.S. great vibe and great variety. Only downside, avoid peak hour and you'll be fine.

As a student, I have no choice but to pay for a rec center fee. It is pretty expensive and there is no say in it. I work out frequently so I can justify it, however the MizzouRec has too many people in it and not enough equipment. Always too crowded and machines are broken all the time. The grotto is a nice place to relax, however it is closed to PAYING students about 50% of the time for non-students. This place is frustrating.

i have been to 3 colleges including mizzou and this school is a nightmare. sure its nice. but the crowd makes it look more like a bar than anything. on top of the they have people lokkjng at us in there like zoo animals when doing toors i hate it. overall do better mizzou you have 40,000 students and less than 10 squat racks on campus

I have never been there because faculty options are horrible. Children are not admitted except for family nights twice a month. However, to use them, you need a membership AND to pay for a family night. I am a busy person and do not go to the pool without my child. So, the cost of a family night visit will be $30 for two of us. Isn't it pricey? Had to buy an ARC membership. Very disappointed. At my previous university, the pool was much more accessible. Bad bad bad.

Wonderful facility and they usually fix things in a timely matter. Not my favorite that I'm required to pay for it in my tuition and also not my favorite because sometimes it's CRAZY crowded (usually the beginning of the year). I do like a lot of the machines and because I have to pay for it I'm more likely to be inclined to use it.

I go to school here as a student, its advertised as the best rec center in the nation but I dont think it hold true to that statement anymore. Most of the equipment is older now. If you go during peak hours you'll be lucky if you get a bench or rack. Overall its a decent gym but needs some updating and more equipment to fit the size of the student body.

My son likes water, so I decided to learn how to swim. It is a great honor to learn swimming here where the swimming emperor Michael Phelps played. I hope to meet many friends while swimming.
