Anytime Fitness

I lived in Phoenix City for awhile with my Ex girlfriend. After the relationship ended and I moved to Columbus Ga. I tried to cancel my membership and they wouldn’t let me. I go to a gym now that is literally 3 mins away from my home. It wouldn’t make sense to go to anytime fitness, but they ended up charging me 700 dollars in total and putting this against my credit. I will NEVER go back to anytime fitness again. The one in Phenoix City is so small and I guess they are hurting for money. I do not recommend this gym to anyone

I have been training with a specific trainer here for the past year. I pay $315.00 a month for my trainer through Anytime Fitness in Phenix City, AL. My trainer was recently let go the same day my monthly payment of $315.00 was taken out of my bank account. I requested a refund and was told that they cannot provide me a refund as it was for past services but could guarantee no more money would be coming from my account from today on. They literally took the money out 3/13/23 and my trainer was let go 3/13/23 so it is not past services. I contacted them today 3/14/23 to request the refund. I was not offered another trainer as they already knew I was going to stay with my trainer due to me being with him for a year and was told "we will not hold you hostage to stay at this gym" yet they took my money for another month knowing I am not getting the services promised in my contract with the trainer I signed up with. The owner even at one point stated "I hope the trainer will just train you this next month." I already have to really budget the monthly trainer cost due to me being a single mom and them just taking this money from me is crazy to me and very discouraging to even recommend this gym to anyone. I also spoke to a few people who were with the same trainer who stated they were getting refunded so I am not sure why I was told I could not get a refund.

I have been a regular at this cozy little Anytime Fitness for about 1-2 years now, and it remains the highlight of my day to sweat all my worries out at the gym and then pick up some yummy food at the Publix nearby. The staff have a friendly guest policy - I believe they allow guests for up to 5 days free, which is nice because I have a lot of bodybuilder friends who live out of town and visit occasionally. They don't have a strict dress code, which as someone who has been lifting for years and doesn't like my gym clothes being policed, is greatly appreciated, especially because gyms with more lenient dress codes are hard to come by in more conservative areas. Despite hardly talking to the other gym goers, staff, and trainers, they feel like family, as I see them almost every day. I have had conversations here and there and gotten to know other regulars on some level over the years. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and one of the staff members (Allison) even cleaned up a coffee spill when I dropped my full thermos one time. I'll always be appreciative of Allison for saving me from that embarrassing moment, lol. They have partnerships with nutritional supplement companies, and sometimes representatives will set up a table and hand out free protein powder samples, which is GREAT for obvious reasons. It is a humble looking gym, but it has all the equipment you need as an experienced lifter, and is reasonably priced. It's a great option if you're a starving college student who loves lifting (like me).

Great place to get your workouts in. Smaller place than planet fitness, which I went to before here, but in my opinion, it is better. And, if you have a trainer for that extra motivation, my man Tim can help you out. I leave my sessions with him feeling jacked.

This place is amazing and very friendly and organized. Everyone from the members to the employees are friendly and helpful. Maintain a clean and safe environment. And makes it easy for anyone to have a good workout no matter your level.

The staff is amazing and really helpful. They took a personal interest in my goals and have helped reach my goals. The gym is always clean and inviting. I have not been able to take advantage of all they have to offer but what I have has really helped me rebound from a motorcycle accident.

Amazing staff helped me out of a bind when I lost my key fob from another store. They were incredibly helpful in replacing the lost fob and made me feel like a top priority. I can’t thank them enough. It’s the great people that work here that will keep me at Anytime Fitness.
