Coach Thomas is the best. Boxing is life now. This gym is the first gym I've felt comfortable and motivated completely. I am thankful and will come as often as I can.

This location is currently mask-optional for those who provide proof of full COVID vaccination. The Audie Murphy gym has a huge area dedicated to crossfit and powerlifting equipment. The cardio machine area has just about everything you may need, with plenty of space between machines. The freeweight room has an acceptable selection of dumbbells, benches, and squat racks. I didn't see any cable machines, though I may be wrong.I believe all of the squat racks at this gym have j-hooks, but lack spotter arms or safety pipes. You won't be attempting anything near 1 rep max unless you have a human spotter. The Audie Murohy gym is clean and far less busy than Smith gym.

Good gym for cross-fitters. Mask not mandatory if you can prove your vaccinated but all the water fountains are taped up but 1 and the sauna and locker rooms are still shut down. All of Benning is still like this? How draconian. Flatten the curve?

This is hands-down the best gym on post.Set up for lots of functional exercises, with a huge open area to lush/pull/drag sleds and carts.Tons of deadlift set ups.Lots of Jacob's Ladders, assault bikes and the like.

Great gym if your into functional fitness, Crossfit and alot of space! Great thing about this gym that it is currently one of two on Benning right now that as long as your fully vaccinated and registered you don't have to workout with your mask on. Only issue with this gym is weight plates are very disorganized.

Audie Murphy gym has a better ratio of equipment per gym goer if you need squat racks and lifting platforms. Occasionally the gym can get a funky smell. They do have a good cleaning crew but it can be hard to keep up with the amount of sweat generated in that place. Overall good gym as long as you aren't looking for the "globo gym/juice bar" experience. In which case Smith Fitness Center may be a better fit (still a good gym but doesn't seem to have enough squat racks and platforms for the volume of patrons).

Amazing place to workout. A totally great atmosphere, with tons of equipment. Barbell based and crossfit based. Not the best for bodybuilding not if you like barbells, kettle bells, strongman equipment, ropes and caving ladders. There about 12 squat racks, 4 wood and rubber Deadlift platforms, and like 6 to 8 Olympic weightlifting platforms with full rubber. And rubber bumper plates for days.

Really deserves four and a half stars. Really just wish they left the 15kg bar on the floor and that they had a more diligent staff making people rack weights properly. We have specialized needs for Olympic lifting and this place is almost perfect. If I could change a couple of very minor things I'd be in heaven.

Great functional fitness with a large indoor turf area for sled pushing and tire flipping. They have a Jacobs ladder which is great with rope climbing as well. Less crowded than other on post gyms making for plenty of options for equipment use.
