How this gym’s open for business is beyond me. It’s one thing to be old school and another to be a dump. The “pro’s” gym is the latter of the two. Thankfully I didn’t step foot in the locker room. Do they not do health inspections in Columbus? End of story.

Wow. Environment here is amazing, we visit every time we go to Columbus. The owner Mike is very personable, staff is very helpful. Highly recommend to any fellow gym rat.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went to this gym while in town for the Arnold and was extremely excited to get a workout in here, but boy was I disappointed. To start off, the gym is absolutely FILTHY, there were empty energy drink cans EVERYWHERE, food wrappers, empty water bottles littering the floors, the bathrooms/locker rooms, the sitting area downstairs by the locker rooms, the window sills. It’s also falling apart, the paint is destroyed, theres cracks in the ceiling. The women’s bathroom was disgusting, there was a full trash can sitting on top of a toilet seat. I understand you have an influx of people attending your gym because of this event, but it isn’t hard to put more people on staff to prepare for the chaos that’ll occur at a gym like this during this time. Secondly, the people there were just extremely obnoxious, taking their shirts off in the weight room (there’s literally a posing room for a reason), screaming and yelling, tripods were everywhere. I go to a gym where a lot of people film, and there’s a respectful way to do it, but that was not the case here. Thirdly, the equipment was not great, it was extremely rusted, the machines were not smooth whatsoever, I could barely read the dumbbells weight, the cables downstairs were outdated, and again, they were all filthy. I think 30$ is a lot for a day pass to a gym that’s falling apart/filthy with mediocre equipment and extremely distracting disrespectful members.

The place is pretty good if you know it's history. It's a gym that's been around for a while so the building looks older. It's right down the road from the convention center the Arnold Expo is held at so it's often been the gym they train at around that time. It's got a smaller area as the main area but it has a bunch of smaller rooms ; kinda hidden till you get to walking around an finding them.. Tbh I don't think I've found them all; an definantly haven't used them all. They got a many of the basic machines you need an a couple unique ones. The dumbell selection goes very high in weight iirc. Not a ton of treadmills like the usual gyms designed to sell membership contracts to people who will sign up for a year an never come back. It's geared towards lifters if anything. They have a smaller stretching an heavybags area but the standing bags are pretty busted up. This is the main reason I go to a lot of gyms though. They got a few showers. Many lockers are busted. They got a nice quiet room with walls of mirrors for posing, studying your development an taking photos/videos. This is pretty nice to me an im sure others who are legit interested in fitness, arts, an body sculpting. People seem pretty nice an knowledgeable too. No restaurant but you can order specialized meal delivery on certain dates

I've visited The Pro's Gym twice during business trips. The gym is iconic, old-school with timeless memorabilia. Ample equipment, both cardio and resistance. Even during peak hours, the gym doesn't feel crowded and you can always find empty equipment. Sure, could the space use some TLC? Yes, but that's not the environment. There's history to the gym and it really is a nice change from cookie-cutter, commercial gyms. Friendly environment with approachable staff as well.I will always return to The Pro's Gym when visiting!

The monthly rate is fair, the membership terms are flexible, it's unpretentious, people are friendly, there is plenty of equipment, and they stay open long hours and when other places are closed. There are also plenty of weights and spaces for squats and deadlifts. The men's room is dirty and smells like sewage. The equipment is maintained poorly.A trainer there named Shawn N is awesome at coaching towards varying goals - but manages to be accommodating, well priced, and gives great advice. His plans enabled me to progress on my own with no pressure to buy more time. I've referred several people to him and everyone thinks he's great. There are a number of quirks, like a locker room that smells like sewage, and and eclectic clientele. But, oddly, most of the negatives are things that could be easily corrected: inadequate cleaning, a filthy locker room, mislabeled dumbbells, and not enough pins for the machines. The manager is present, most of the desk staff are friendly. It's a diverse crowd, but nobody is aggressive - I can't relate at all to a previous reviewer who encountered unfriendly people. I've seen the manager immediately escort someone out and terminate their membership for acting inappropriately - that was impressive. If you live or work downtown, it's the best option if you want a legit workout and can overlook quirks. If you don't live nearby, they give parking passes for the adjacent lot which is good after 5pm.

Heat wave hitting Ohio and they don't have AC. It's a heat stroke waiting to happen in there. Oh and this gym is for you ladies cause nobody enforces the shirt rule. Plenty of dudes walking around with no clothes on

I like going here, very friendly and accepting environment with enough power racks so there's no wait. Giving 5 stars because I want this gym to be successful.

True gym that has a litany of equipment to train on! Jeff and Eli are great guys that are like the "salt of the earth - friendly and kind; definitely know their way around the iron!"
