Disclaimer- I went during the ArnoldPros - atmosphere of serious bodybuilders and lots of heavy dumbbells and 4 power racksCons - shirtless nutsacks taking up real estate taking videos of themselves to wack off to later. Also equipment is old and squeaky

Don't sign up for a membership here. Stop in for a workout, but staff isn't good and they don't have the equipment you think they would. Gym doesn't have the atmosphere the advertise. I think its the manager(s) or the Manger and a friend, but two guys in the morning always film each other and don't seem to care if they get other members in their videos.

This place is hilarious, literally everything is broken, cracked, chipped, grimy, walled off, or torn down, the entire basement smells like sewage, air conditioning hasn’t worked all summer, equipment is never where it was before and just lays around in piles randomly, the floor setup is cramped af, and the monthly price isn’t even cheap. I live close but I’m switching to a different gym, “pro” is the last thing this place should be called. It’s like if a gym was where the killer chased people around in a horror movie.

Some of the members are rude and disrespectful and itis mainly the guys. I would tell some of the guys to eait there turn and they would cuss me out as well and I will not put up with that at all. Some people are on there cellphones and I hate that as well because people need to use the gym equipment. I like the gym I go to now because it is 24 hours and I they have a no cellphone policy as well. I should not have to wait a couple weeks for things to change so I can exercise and this behavior is not acceptable at all.

Gym still remains great for weight lifters of all kinds. There is a mix of new and old equipment as they try to update. Limited bar clips, which can be frustrating. Plenty of squat racks. A deadlifting platform that has definitely been used, but still nice to have. It's a pretty gritty place but the customers really make the gym and inspire you to work hard.

The place has seen better days. The equipment is old, which I don’t mind, but it could be maintained better like repainting the weight numbers on the dumbbells, racks and machines. A lot of the benches need new upholstery. Even with the giant window it feels very dark. Need new lighting and different color scheme. The downstairs is a dungeon with dirty dark rooms housing some equipment. Flickering lights highlight the graffiti on the walls with what’s supposed to be motivational words but it feels like I made a wrong turn on Cleveland Avenue. The men’s locker room is abysmal. Smelly urinals and shadowy dark showers will make you think twice about going barefoot in there or even taking your clothes off to shower. I don’t know, maybe this is the image they are gunning for but it feels like I am in the hood and I need to pack some heat for protection. The only reason I would join is because of the people training there. They are there to build muscle. It’s not your average Joe gym with people who workout their eyes more than their bodies by staring at their phone or tv. If you can get passed the dinginess of the place then join. For me I need a little more.

Gym is decent. However, I requested cancellation via the website and they continued to charge my card until I had my bank stop the charges. Now they have sent me a letter saying they will send my account to collections. Very shady practices. I haven’t been to the gym in 6 months and they continue to try and charge me and are trying to squeeze every dime they can out of me. Good luck canceling. Be better “The Pro’s Gym”. I’ll be having my attorney send you a letter.

I've been a member of this gym since November of 2018.It's never been the nicest gym in terms of appearance or equipment but the location, price, monthly subscription availability, and staff are all great. I've always had positive experiences dealing with staff and other members. But enjoy trying to cancel your membership virtually. They require you to either go in person and cancel or send your request by certified mail. Not a big deal until you get ready to move out of state and one of your many monthly subscriptions are the least of your worries. Once you're out of area it becomes infinitely more annoying and frustrating to cancel your membership. I'm acutely aware this is in the contract, but this is something I would expect to see present in gyms of the early 1900's, not 2022 where you can do most things virtually.I actually enjoyed this gym despite it's many shortcomings. Most of the equipment is outdated. They've stated they are reupholstering equipment, while this is true don't expect it to be done quickly. This project often renders multiple pieces of equipment down while this task is completed. Even once the equipment is reupholstered don't expect it to feel new, there is dirt caked onto the machines that probably does actually date back to the 1980's. Their reupholstering project had potential, but their efforts could have been better allocated elsewhere.Often pieces of equipment will break and repairs will take far longer than they should.More than half of the treadmills aren't worth using due to their age, you can't run on them without sounding like the stampede that trampled Mufasa.Don't expect anything to feel or look clean. The glass door to the sauna was not clean in November of 2018 and still had not been cleaned by January 2022. I've been staring at the ever multiplying fingerprints and smudges in 20 minute increments for the last 3 years. Often paper towels or cleaner are absent to clean equipment. The bathrooms too, remember the last dive bar you went to and the floor was wet, everything was dirty, and half the urinals/toilets didn't work? Pretty much that. This gym gets the job done depending on what you're willing to put up with, but don't expect it to feel modern or clean. Like I said, I only had positive experiences with the staff and other members. This is not an attack at any of the personalities inhabiting the gym. This review is targeted at the outdated equipment, cleanliness issues, and outdated policies.I'll be sending over my certified letter this week and will update on how smoothly that process goes. I actively made the decision not to cancel my membership while COVID ramped up during the months I wasn't using the gym because local businesses were struggling - I can confidently say that was a mistake. The Pro's Gym should focus on actually making some real improvements to the gym and get rid of some of their outdated practices.

You get what you pay for…and that’s a good thing. A no frills, friendly, clean enough gym that doesn’t overcharge for things you don’t care about. Why pay crazy rates for a pool, sauna, spa if you are here to pump some iron? This gym is filled with people who want to work out and get a good pump. If you are looking for a place to BS with your buddies and pretend you are getting stronger look elsewhere. There are plenty of other places to do that.

Well worth the money. As an OSU student I never wanted to go to the campus gyms as they were always packed, far away with no parking, and had an odd assortment of machines and free weights that left me wanting. The Pro's Gym has renewed my love for weightlifting and has me excited to go every day.
