Gold's Gym International Headquarters in Dallas, TX, is part of a renowned gym network. Known for its high-quality workout equipment and multiple locations, it aims to offer comprehensive fitness services. The facility also has a good range of amenities, although recent changes have led to the removal of pools and saunas, disappointing many long-term members. Customer service seems to be a major concern, with multiple reviews indicating difficulties in membership cancellation and poor communication from the corporate office.

Despite these drawbacks, Gold's Gym continues to attract members due to its well-maintained equipment and spacious workout areas. Potential clients should be well aware of the company’s policies and the possible challenges in membership management. The gym could improve by reinstating some of its popular amenities and addressing customer service issues more effectively.

The location in Florissant, Missouri closed down and sold my membership to club fitness. I already paid for the year. December 2019-December 2020. Club fitness won’t even honor that. I don’t have a receipt but my bank statement showing that …

I can say I used to love Gold’s Gym until my card was comprised and I went to the Lee Highway location in Chattanooga Tennessee and the regional manager Joe told me he was not going to waive the late fee an I was a DAY late for my payment. …

You will see a common thread with reviews regarding Gold's as a company here and COVID19 pandemic. In my local area they closed down as well. They "sold" our memberships to a local gym and "notified" us of the swap. No emails, no calls, no carrier pigeon, no telegraph nothing. Instead, my only indication is being charged a monthly due from a club I don't attend who can not refund the already drawn amount. How do they expect to not refund my money when it is under THEIR name too. But that phone call is for that poop gym and not this one. Regardless, no notification came out about them closing. Ask me if I will ever refer anyone to this company. Ask...jk...don't ask. NO

If you're trying to cancel your membership the best piece of advice I can give is to cancel the credit/debit card you use. If you don't they will continue to charge your card, you will go through hoops trying to get the charges reversed, let alone someone on the phone. Even changing my card # they somehow got the new account and continued to charge it. All this on top of constant texts and phone calls.

This place has awesome equipment but no customer service. Had to cancel my membership over a month ago and the girl at the counter told me nothing about having to pay an extra month when I canceled. I paid for the membership for about four months before I decided to cancel because I just wasn't using it. Why pay for something if you're not using it, right? Went in and filled out the paperwork and was told I was good. I thought that meant that I would not be charged anymore. A few days later I was charged because it was automatic withdrawal from my account. I thought maybe it just took time and let it go. A month later I was charged again. I called the gym and they said there was a policy that states after you cancel you have to pay one more month. Why? I do not understand how this is good customer service. I went to the gym and the lady informed me that there was nothing she could do, it's a corporate policy. I called back and asked for the number to corporate and was given a number that would only let me speak to someone at my local gym. I know they don't care if I come back, and that's fine, but don't make me pay for services that I am not using.
