As an avid climber who travels for work and has visited 20+ different climbing gyms over the past twelve months, I can confidently say, Oso is the best among them. This place has it all; creative and challenging route setting, a welcoming and inclusive community, and a best in class training facility complete with yoga studio, cardio equipment, hangboards, campus boards, free/olympic weightlifting, cardio equipment, and a kilter board. The bouldering at this location stands out relative to other gyms I've visited for several reasons:1. The bouldering walls are spacious and widely varied; with routes ranging from short slab and technical competition problems to completely overhung and everything in between. The walls are also not overly crowded (like some gyms that will have 4-5 problems overlapping in some areas).2. Creative and challenging routesetting at all V-levels. The routesetting team here is second to none. There are interesting problems of varied style at all levels here. Unlike some gyms where routes for higher V-levels are differentiated purely by more challenging holds or smaller crimps, I've found that the more challenging routes at Oso, also test your ability to think through a problem and utilize a wider variety of climbing skills. Dynos, toe hooks, heel hooks, bat hangs, compression, mantles, and body positioning are all utilized to great effect as are volumes, and natural features like aretes and dihedrals. Pure strength will only get you so far here and, while there are some problems that test your ability to campus or crimp, they don't dominate over more technical climbing elements like they do at other gyms.3. General cleanliness and organization. The holds, and kilter board at Oso are always clean and never feel overused or overworn. I've been to many gyms where the kilter board is greasy and the holds look like they've been around for a decade or more. That is not the case here, where the team is constantly keeping things clean and refreshing holdings to ensure routes feel new and interesting. Oso also sticks to a color grading system that is consistently applied for all bouldering problems so that you can determine a problem's V-level right away. You'd be surprised, but I have found this is not the case at many gyms where colors are completely random. The other quality of life factor here that cannot be overstated, is that the routesetters reset walls on a regular rotation that they post to their social media account so that climbers are aware which walls will be changing each week. This is an extremely nice gesture that I've come to truly appreciate. You're never blindsided when you walk in and the project you've been working (and were about to send) has been reset. For all of these reasons, Oso is my top choice in the Dallas area for bouldering and without a doubt one of the best bouldering gyms I have been to in the US. If you're looking for a great community of climbers with excellent routesetting, a best in class facility, and that offers additional classes and dedicated workout spaces, look no further.

This is my second time here and the first time I ever tried rock climbing of any sort. The staff is great, friendly and professional. I honestly haven't ever been in a Gym of this kind. I am excited and will join soon. Love the people there.

I am someone who has STRUGGLED with finding a gym where I felt comfortable, motivated, and excited to go to. This gym has hit the mark in so many ways! Love that they provide instructors with the membership to learn better techniques for bouldering. But absolutely LOVE the instructors. Currently go to Justin and Cao and love their approach to strength training. Clean, very friendly, and love all the classes/community building opportunities they offer. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough great things about OSO. First, the facility is gorgeous - it's apparent that it was made with love and careThe people who work here are always welcoming and there's something for everybody. Weights, all kinds of yoga, even a Shuffle class?!?! and all kinds of fun seasonal events. The one tiny complaint I have is the guest wifi goes out sometimes. It's a gem in Dallas and well worth the membership.

Oso is the best gym I've been a member of. Vibes are great. Routes are amazing. Everything is super clean and everyone is super friendly. Y'all make it look easy, but I know you're working hard, and it is deeply appreciated.

Amazing facility, cool and friendly staff, and something for everyone. Whether you're wanting a gym to lift weights, do cardio, climb, or take classes, etc., OSO has everything. It's also a very inclusive community. I recently got into climbing (I'm still pretty bad, lol), but I've never felt judged and there's plenty of routes for everyone of all skill levels. 10/10 across the board, I love this place.

Phenomenal customer service and a incredible bouldering gym. This company genuinely cares about their clients and employees and are exceptional when it comes to customer satisfaction. As for the gym, there’s plenty of bouldering puzzles to figure out! It feels never ending but in a good way, and if you need a break from bouldering, they also have a great gym set up! The bathrooms are also beautiful, clean, and modern. Thanks Oso!

A good selection of classes to try for fitness variety and great facilities. The locker rooms are clean and I love the sauna. The showers with soap/shampoo are great and I am glad to have the water bottle refill stations. The staff is nice and welcoming and the ownership seems to have a great heart, very inclusive environment, supportive of other small/minority owned businesses and good to the earth. Although I am probably 10-15 years older than the average member I still feel welcomed 👵😂

Great climbing gym! Friendly helpful staff. Large bouldering (only - in regards to climbing) area with lots of different types of problems for all skill levels and climbing types (static, dynamic). Most of the problems are in the overhang type wall, but many areas including balance type walls.A day pass gets you access to the bouldering gym and very large cardio and weight gyms.Very clean changing rooms (the whole gym is quite clean and well maintained) with showers and combination lock type lockers to keep your valuables in.
