When the original owners had their hands more in the process, this place was a palace of hard work. As they became more distanced (which happens as companies grow) you could see that this place was losing its mountain-first mentality and became a circus driven by ego (by one specific coach in particular). It seems that this place is headed back to its original state of focus - training hard and intensely so one can defeat their mountain sport goals. Bummed I'm not back in CO to be here anymore, but stoked that it will regain the status of being an Iron Temple where only the hardest are forged, focused on the mettle of the mountain.

I am 40 and life of sitting behind a desk and owning business's had caught up with me. I was 40 pounds over weight and had not done any kind of exercising for 15 years. I was very intimidated by the thought of going to a gym, let along a crossfit gym. I had heard how intense work outs could be. After about a year of walking by this place everyday I finally built up the courage to go inside. I spoke with the owner on the phone and had a consult with him about where I was at currently and where I wanted to be. He told me if I gave him a year it would change my life. I am right at 6 months now, I have lost 25 pounds and am learning all kinds of new weight lifting and cardio workouts. At first it was very challenging and everyone from coaches to other members were very supportive and took the time to coach me 1 on 1 and build me into the weight lifting movements and provided support while I built my cardio game.. It has impacted my life in so many positive ways, all of which I will not list, but the personal attention and amazing community of other members has provided me with a life balance like none I have ever experienced before. If you are already a gym beast or a fresh starter on your fitness journey, you can find a place here. I can't say enough how much this has already changed my life, and I am looking forward to continuing my fitness journey here. Thank you Mountain Strong!

The community that Mountain Strong has been able to cultivate is wonderful. With many conditioning gyms, it sometimes can feel intimidating but not here. The coaches and owners make you feel part of their family. The members are open, friendly, and the best part, encouraging. The environment here allows your training to feel fun, that's the sweet spot in my opinion. Moving to Colorado and now been here for 2 years, 90% of my friends are from here. The gym always has phenomenal clinics to work on all types of things. From breathing, to climbing knots, to getting your rowing form perfect. They're always getting the community together for fun workouts followed by a relaxing BBQ after. I can write on and one but this place is truly magical. I am so grateful for the connections and life long friends that I have made. This has everything to do with the coaches and owners who have dedicated themselves to creating a place where your health and training can be a happy adventure. Don't get it twisted, they bring it and you will get your pump on but in a fun way.

Gym is on the smaller side, but always has room for whatever I am trying to work on. Coaches are knowledgeable and there the help. If you are looking for a place to challenge yourself among like minded people, look no further.
