When I called to schedule my first (free!) class, I spent a few minutes on the phone with Becca, telling her my fears and asking numerous questions about what to expect. I hadn't formally worked out in many years, and never in a group setting like Orangetheory Fitness before. I had a lot of questions and she put my mind at ease, and helped me figure out what clothes to wear, how intense it might be, etc. She also suggested that I come to the class 30 minutes early so that we could run through equipment and the Orangetheory concept in general. I'm so glad I did that, as I got to spend time with Jill going over my goals and expectations. It was honestly a very low pressure situation, and I enjoyed speaking with these women. My first class was with Troy the instructor, and he was outstanding. His music tastes and mine are aligned to Fast Paced 80s, which was perfect to get me pumped up! I do believe that the nature of the music played by individual instructors will affect my intensity and enthusiasm at each workout.Although I was sore later that day and the following day, I was ready for another class 2 days after my first. I found myself craving the feeling of being there again. If you're thinking at all about trying it, just do it.

What I love about the Orange Theory workouts are that they vary from session to session so you never get bored or work the same body parts over and over. The loud music, dim lights and small classes make for a comfortable not intimidating …
