My first class was great! The instructor, Bill, made sure I understand each work out and everyone at the club gave me a lot of attention.

I've done crossfit here almost a year, the people are awesome, and the coaches are knowledgable. They take the time to make sure people know what they are doing. Easy to drop in.

What is important to me in a gym is a sense of community. At Lane 5, that's what you get first hand. Secondly come the workouts! I have enjoyed getting to know the owners Tom and Billy Pappas. It's comforting to have coaches who live and breath personal fitness. They each bring to the table a rich history of athletic competition, skills and education. They truly do care for your health and overall well being. Their coaching styles are personal. They spend time with each member working on form and technique. All skill levels are welcome. Each person is treated the same and with respect.Lane 5 has a great location. Close to downtown and just up the road from the University of Oregon. Their facility is large and spacious. There are two bathrooms with showers. The gym is always clean and well organized. The equipment is in great shape. If you need to borrow a jump rope, there is always some one willing to give up theirs. That's the community. I've created some new friendships and created a new lifestyle. All thanks to Lane 5 CrossFit.

After an ACL surgery I was looking for a change in my training routine. I wanted something that would give me a more well rounded fitness than the mostly running based activity I'd been doing to stay in shape. I dragged my feet for quite some time trying to avoid getting on the Crossfit "bandwagon". After my first few visits with a friend to Lane 5, my opinions quickly began to change and I haven't looked back. It has been the perfect fit for me. The facilities are great and the community is fun loving, hard working and welcoming. I couldn't have asked for better coaches in Tom and Billy, you would be hard pressed to find two more qualified coaches with their cumulative knowledge and experience. On top of all this I feel more fit and healthy than I have in years.
