We had won a climbing experience from a raffle, Sage & Saul were wonderful to work with! They were so helpful, kind & encouraging to our 3 boys at their first time at a gym like this. I never knew much about climbing myself & was interested to see the different types of climbing available, bouldering, rope climbing & they also have exercise equipment like a fitness center as well. Very cool place!

I absolutely love this place! I am a Camp Director, and took my campers here every week this summer. The kids absolutely love the cave in the bouldering section. And as an adult, I've really enjoyed coming here on my own time. I'm also a queer person and feel like I can identify this place as queer-friendly. The staff are wonderful, always friendly and laid back. The climbing opportunities are immense and so much fun, and they offer classes! I took a date here for a belay class and it's one of the best dates I've planned. Just highly recommend this place for an outing.

Seriously the premier climbing experience in all of Seattle! I took the beginner top rope class and would highly recommend it to anyone for $50! If you do it you’ll get 2 weeks of membership for free to the gym which is actually a $40 value!Vertical World isn’t as inclined (pump intended) towards bouldering as much as other gyms in the area, but the bouldering is still regularly set and excellent. I got into bouldering at Vertical World Redmond which led me to wanting to get into top rope.Great service, friendly people working the counters and teaching the classes, gear if you need to buy, and clean facilities. Overall highly recommend Vertical World North, one of if not my favorite gym in all of Seattle.

Staff is really great. Really bad hours for a gym and no after hours access that a lot of climbing gyms have. Top ropes are also not double wrapped. The gym is small though this is more of a Seattle Area problem since there really aren't any nice climbing gyms here that have lead walls. Membership is also restricted to only this gym which not a lot of other gyms.

Update 7/12/23: the kids have loved it so much, we go once or twice a month for the kids night out. They have so much fun and have gained a lot of confidence in their climbing. The place always seems very clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We’ve only been once, for a Kids Night Out event, but my boys (6&9) had a BLAST! Dropped them off and left them for two hours; they learned the basics of rock climbing and were let loose in the gym to climb. The price for this was very reasonable, and the event is held twice a month; we’ve already signed up for another one! It’s great exercise for high energy kids!

I really enjoyed the gym, the equipment looks in good conditions, the personnel was kind and helpful. The boulder area is... Interesting, the "cushion" floor has no cushion at all. I suppose they focus more in heights haha it's not called vertical world for nothing.

It was my first time at Vertical World North. I'd say I miss Vertical World Redmond.Pros:1. Newer2. Bigger and more routes3. Harder routes (not sure if it belongs to pros or cons)4. The bathroom is big with nice showersCons:1. The parking lot is not well paved2. Hard to find parking spots3. Doesn't have lockers with a lock. Have to bring locks ourselves.4. The bathroom only has one air blower, but no paper towels. And it's hard to tigger the air blower. But anyway, I'm sure I'll keep visiting vertical world, so I hope they can take the feedbacks, open more gyms on the east side and do better business.

Awesome rock climbing gym! Our family loves this place. Very large bouldering section, plus extra tall top rope and lead climbing walls. Signage at the road is a bit lacking though (looks like just a non-descript white warehouse

My daughter enjoys every class, her couches have a real patience with the kids and encourage them to keep going and defeat their fears... very nice guys !
