I've been a member at Anytime Fitness for roughly ten years. During my time as a member, I've regularly visited a variety of the Anytime Fitness locations in multiple states. I've typically been pleased with the cleanliness, the variety of equipment, and, most importantly, the professionalism and congeniality of the staff. However, there have been times over the years when I've been met with bizarrely defensive and largely unjustified push-back from in-house management staff when I've tried to politely communicate maintenance concerns (example: empty paper towel dispenser, empty wet wipe dispenser, etc) that I've encountered while working out. We all have busy lives and, as members, going to the gym is often valued as a reprieve from the busyness. If management does read this, I hope they can recognize that minor requests regarding facility upkeep are not meant to be taken as passing judgement about how staff members are going about managing the gym. Rather, I'm just a longtime customer who's trying to do my part to help keep the facility a place we all want to visit on a regular basis. Thanks.

It's a scam. They say it's easy to cancel anytime but when you come in to do so during the day no one is there and no one will help you. They will continue to take your money and make excuses on why you cannot cancel. DO NOT USE THIS GYM!!!!

I must admit, I won't be applying for membership to this Anytime Fitness after reading these Google reviews. Thank you Google for letting others know of the issues with this establishment.

Decent facility, but they sold my overdue balance of nearly $400 to collections DESPITE the fact that I was well past my 12 month contact and was on a month-to-month arrangement and they refused to cancel my membership. First they wouldn’t allow me to cancel unless I came into the gym, I live three hours away. Then after my billing cycle came they refused to cancel my membership until I resolved my past due balance???That’s a joke, if I’m on a month to month arrangement I should be able to cancel my membership at anytime and you can bill me what Is, not refuse to cancel my membership and let me accrue hundreds of dollars in overdue balances despite many attempts to cancel before that. Anytime fitness? More like you can’t cancel anytime fitness. I was a loyal member for almost two years and they refused to work with me to resolve this. I would encourage everyone to support their local gym proprietors before giving their money to this large corporate giant who cares nothing about their members.

The gym itself is okay, for an anytime fitness, but the management is terrible. They make it nearly impossible to cancel your membership, even when you're not under contract, and will continually charge you. They also charge you double multiple times a year for "new equipment" yet they've only added a few new things since I started going here in 2010.

This happened in 2017, but a friend convinced me to share my experience. My debit card was stolen by neighbors that broke into my apartment. My bank account was -$500, and even if I had more money in my account, it was under police investigation so I couldn’t actually do anything with it... my account was frozen. My debit card was used in Moorhead and Fargo so I had to file 2 different police reports. I went in to Anytime to tell them about my situation and tell them that I wasn’t able to pay for my membership and ask them if I could put my membership on hold until the investigation was finished and I had my funds back. All they told me was “well you can pay with cash...”. Any cash I had at the time, was being used to feed myself. There was zero sympathy even though I had proof of my situation. The gym itself was alright, but I deserve more respect than I was given.

I had the worst customer service ever the manager there is rude and unprofessional. I tried to talk to her about my membership on the phone, And she just kept on talking over me.I showed up in the office and asked her if I can talk to the manager above her. she stated that she was the manager. I asked her can I get anyone higher than you phone numbers or email. She gave me a phone number that was out of order. Her coworker in the office ended up giving me an email to their boss. She’s so rude and disrespectful.

Don't do it. Just take your money else where. This gym is good as far as equipment/trainers/cleanliness go. However, when it comes to cancelling you'll pay an extra $100-$200 because they will not communicate and admit that they were wrong, dragging the membership out an extra couple months at least. I would've rather spent the money that I paid in membership on some nice used equipment that won't/can't continue to take money from me. The customer service is terrible. The manager made excuses and never called me back to address why our memberships were not properly cancelled. I understand times are unconventional, but it's incredibly frustrating to hear that while I was still being charged during the shut down, the employees were not working. I emailed about a 30 day notice March 30 to terminate my contract that was ending on May 1st. I never heard anything. The gym opened on May 1st so I emailed on May 5 to get back on a radar. Nothing. I ended up calling after being charged again. I was clearly frustrated and the manager was rude giving me more reason to be frustrated. However, I thought we had gotten things resolved and I was not to be charged again, because she was taking the April payment as our last 30 day payment. We contested the May payment with our bank since we had a 30 day notice and the bank revoked the payment. So I thought we were done because nothing was taken from our account in June. The second week of July we start getting emails and phone calls from ABC financial that we owe money and our account is overdue. At this point I'm super frustrated. I'm calling ABC financial and they're telling me my cancellation date is July 13th. Very different from June 15th and that they stopped autopay because of the revoked payment. So now I'm responsible for that May payment, a June payment, and the $30 gym maintenance fee (which in the contract says it comes out in April so clearly not appropriate to be taking in June when clearly they had no problem still taking money for monthly dues in April) totaling over $100 with no bill. My husband also owed close to $100. We ended up paying the over $200 bill because the manager would not pick up his phone calls and she never called me back, and ABC financial would not/could not do anything about the discrepancies. I believe we are finally done with this joke of a business. Thanks to them we will never get another gym membership. We will support other businesses instead that respect their customers.

This gym is easily one of the worst facilities I have ever used, especially for the price I am paying. I'll admit that the staff are extremely nice but their equipment does not match their personality. The facility itself is quite small and this leads to it getting very crowded. When the personal trainers are working with clients, they take whatever materials they need and leave the rest of us without equipment. A lot of the machines are outdated. Their pull down machine doesn't have drop plates and the bar slammed on my head when trying to adjust the weight, their squat racks are extremely thin and make it difficult to move side to side without bumping into the equipment, their bench press is a machine and it wobbles when trying to use it and honestly the list of issues with equipment can run on forever. I am extremely dissatisfied with this gym as is my boyfriend and we are eager to join a far better gym.
