Fishers YMCA

I have been a member of ymcas all over for a long time and have really enjoyed them until joining the fishers ymca. My children have been mishandled and mistreated many times. And when I brought it up to be addressed by the ymca staff they mistreated me as well. It’s a very sad day for me to have to leave the ymca on this note.

I love the weight room. The heated pool and the hot tub. I drive from Pendleton to go to this Y M C A because its worth the drive. Always clean and the staff is great!

On July 19th 2021, I signed up for a 6-month membership and paid $305 for the membership with $0 joining fee at the time. As indicated by the invoice, the membership is valid from 07/19/2021 to 01/18/2022 and is renewable every 6 months. YMCA terminated my membership on 09/07/2021 and I was never notified by YMCA that the membership was terminated.I called Fishers YMCA on 10/04/2021 and informed the lady who answered the phone what happened to my account. She told me that the membership I signed up is summer two adult household membership and it is valid for the summer only. I asked her that so I was charged $305 for less than being a member for 2 months. She said there were people who were charged $305 when they signed up on the last day (say 09/06/2021) and was being a member for a day. She said she can’t give me refund because that is how the billing was set up at the corporate level and that there was nothing she could do. So I asked to talk to her manager.I was then transferred to a gentlemen (whose name I didn’t recall). This gentleman’s tone sounded like he didn’t care at all. He said the membership was just for 3 months and that there was a mistake on the invoice. I felt so discouraged that I told him that it is very absurd that I was billed $305 for being a member less than 2 months and that I would have signed up a membership at a higher end fitness club if I knew I would have paid so much at YMCA. Then I asked him how much a normal two household membership costs. He replied that the cost is $89.99 a month and he argued that my deal is actually not bad because I didn’t pay for the joining fee when I joined. I was so disappointed at the Y that I told him that YMCA can interpret the membership program however the way that suited them. As a customer, I am powerless. But if this is how the Y treats its customer, then I will be no longer a Y customer. He asked me back whether I wanted to withdraw my kid from swimming and judo class. I said yes.I wrote an email and asked my membership be reinstituted or YMCA gave me a refund to YMCA CEO and 3 other people at the corporate level on Oct 4th. i have never heard from them. Apparently, YMCA doesn't care.

We've always loved the summer camps, but now we joined T-ball and my son has had a blast and it's put together great by the coaches and easy location!

We love the Fishers Y. This is an extension to our family. Our kids have grown up in the Y programs: ballet, basketball, soccer, swim lessons and all the try it clinics. We take advantage of the Kids Night Out weekends to plan date nights and our kids look forward to being there. ❤️

Our whole family loves the Fishers YMCA! From the eGym to the free weights to the brand new ellipticals. My kids loved their summer camps when they were little. We love doing the "turkey day run" as a family on Thanksgiving for a healthy alternative activity on the holiday!

The BEST thing in Fishers for families. We are very involved in the Y and the programs offered for the entire family. Staff are friendly and warm, patrons are super inviting, and the facilities are always great and well functioning. We are grateful for the service and even the assistance offered to all.

I enjoy Water aerobics with Stephanie two days a week for a great workout! I also have started the eGym and am feeling stronger already. I go to the fitness center for aerobics on my own on Wednesdays too! Can't wait until the outdoor pool is open for the summer.

I would not exercise if not for the structure, instructor support, and member camaraderie of the group exercise classes! I've never felt judged and have always gained confidence from the instructors' dedication to repeating the correct way to do the exercises. I am grateful for each one of them!

My son has done track and cross country since he was 6 and is now 11. He just started the Running Club and loves it!! The same staff has been there since we started 5 years ago and they all work well together!! Very friendly, organized and accepting! We highly recommend the Fishers Y
