Great place to work out, great staff besides the same guy mentioned in other reviews. I was told "I hate people like you" by this guy personally. I don't know if he meant people who go to the gym or people with a darker shade of skin but …

Though friendly, the front-desk staff seemed to be on a high learning curve of the required knowledge concerning my questions(this is why I gave it a 4-star) Started a Pilates class today, Carol, the instructor, is excellent in leading the …

A great location for this center, easy to get to, plenty of parking. Working out in the gym is great, plenty of machines, clean locker rooms, and good cardio. Lauren at the front desk has sincere Customer Service skills as I see her making so many people feel welcome.

I've been going to this gym for a couple months now and have enjoyed the smaller setting, as I have become familiar with several of the other regulars who also come to the gym during the same evening hours, and have been happy with my physical progress. However, for the past couple of weeks, my friend has been singled out and targeted by an employee who has taken it upon himself to deliberately antagonize my friend during the hours we are attending. Every night, 10-15 minutes before the gym closes, a staff employee comes upstairs and begins to clean up/maintenance the machines in the gym and making sure that all the weights are put away. During this time, the employees will use a subtle gesture to let gym members know however much time is left until closing time and sometimes don't even do so because everybody who attends the gym that late in the evening is fully aware of what time it is and what time the facility closes. One employee in particular (I believe his name is Randal or Randy) feels it is necessary to hover you during your workout and pressure you into finishing up early because he clearly doesn't enjoy working at the facility and wants to go home. It is rather frustrating being in the midst of your set and being interrupted in such a harassing way. We are all adults and are fully aware of the time the gym is closing and know we need to be out of the gym by 9pm. Recently, this particular employee has decided to take matters into his own hands and has singled out my friend because he brought the employees frustrating actions to his attention and the employee got in his feelings. Since then, he has intentionally antagonized my friend, informing ONLY him of the time and when the gym closes, and has even gone to the extent of asking ONLY him to leave 15 minutes earlier than the gym closes because he "has the power and right to do so". This employee has called mall security to the gym to escort us out and has even gone to the extent of calling the police because he doesn't want us to be at the gym for his own personal reasons. I've done my best to ignore this petty made up issue and have done my own thing in the gym, until the night Randal decided to call the police on my friend because he didn't want to leave the gym 15 minutes early when he didn't have any reason to have to leave. This employee ONLY asked my friend to leave (not the 4-5 other members also in the gym) and didn't even ask, just told my friend to leave without any legitimate reason. I saw police cars begin to pull up to the mall and decided to go down stairs to try and mediate the situation and give multiple perspectives to this employee and the police about the situation, causing me to take time out of my own workout. I have since been suspended for "violating the gyms terms" by "threatening staff" and somehow "making the gym an unenjoyable environment". Also pretty convenient/ironic that I was issued my suspension the day after I was allowed to pay for another months renewal and let into the gym to workout the previous day. I'm completely unsatisfied with the lack of professionalism at Foothills Activity Center, as there was no attempt to resolve the issue between all parties before receiving an unwarranted suspension I feel as though I did not deserve. I've recommended this gym to several friends of mine, but will no longer speak so highly of this establishment. If you don't mind police contact or having an overweight, out of shape, obese employee who doesn't even enjoy working at a fitness center tell you, "I hate people like you" and hover over your shoulder pressuring you to hurry up and leave so he can get home to play xbox and drink soda pop, this is definitely the place for you! PS: I would not waste my time to write this long of a detailed review if I wasn't seriously unsatisfied with my experience.

This place has a quality basketball court and gym which are very big. Many people go over here and play bball which makes it fun. Not always will you get people to play with you, there are usually dads with little kids over here 😀 …

A great alternative. This is a clean fitness facility with modern, well maintained equipment. There is a gym for basketball.Haven't found a track yet but there is the mall if you want to get out of the weather. I walked the mall indoor distance at 0.4 miles if you follow all the walls and side alleys.

Nice place. Definitely an upgrade from the old YAC. One of the really cool touches is they used some of the old floor from the basketball court and used it on the front of the desk. Really cool check it out even if you are just walking by.

Love this place! I might be a little biased because I work here, but it really is an amzing workout facility. The machines are clean and new, and it has a really neat layout.I hate working out because I always feel like I am getting stared down, but here it isn't the case! Go ahead and give it a try if you're curious!
