Mountain Kids in Fort Collins, CO, offers a diverse range of activities for children, including gymnastics, dance, swim lessons, and preschool programs. The staff is praised for their welcoming and supportive environment, helping children build confidence and skills. Parents appreciate the structured yet fun approach in the preschool program, with some classes integrated during school hours to avoid disrupting family time. Many have reported significant progress in their children's learning and social skills, making it a popular choice for both regular classes and special events like birthday parties.
Despite the many positive reviews, some parents have had negative experiences, particularly with gymnastics and swim lessons. All of the staff at Mountain Kid's have been so welcoming in creating a safe space for daughter's to learn Gymnastics, Dance and Swim! My daughter's had a lot of anxiety around joining something new and the staff have gone above and beyond to make us feel like part of the Mountain Kid's family!

The preschool has been fantastic for our 3yo daughter. She’s a bit shy and sensitive but her teacher has been wonderful at getting her to open up and engage. The structured schedule, social interaction, and good balance of learning and play has been perfect for her. The kids do gymnastics once a week instead of recess which makes the program a great value. The preschool program is structured very similar to kindergarten so we feel like it is excellent preparation for our daughter. We have had a great experience at Mountain Kids and plan on enrolling in swimming and/or gymnastics for the summer to maintain some consistency and learn new skills until preschool starts again in the fall.

We've been customers of Mtn Kids for years. It's been an overall positive place for socialization for young children as well as gaining athletic experience. I will also say, gymnastics inherently is a dangerous sport - Period. …

We had a birthday party here for my child and it was wonderful! The instructor Jennifer and her helper were amazing with the kids and the kids had a blast! Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

Mountain kids keeps your kids active and engaged during the summer. With mini field trips gymnastics, dance, swim lessons and other structured activities. Our kid loves going and wants to go even when we don't need childcare during the day.

Mountain kids is an exceptional place for kids to learn and grow. We have participated in just about every program available and have loved coming here. I particularly enjoy the preschool program. Deanna and fellow teachers do a great job prepping students for kindergarten in a playful environment. All of my children have grown up here and I'm thankful for the experience mountain kids has provided.

My daughter has gone to two gymnastics classes, and so far they’ve been great. I have a wild toddler who needs to get her energy out and the moonbeamers class is great for that. Not only are they teaching gymnastics skills but also educating them on letters, numbers and colors. My daughter stays home with me so it’s nice to have this class to get her used to a classroom environment. So far I definitely recommend!

Scheduled classes for both of my kiddos here. My toddler was in gymnastics and my 8 year old was in swim lessons. The gymnastics was so bad that I never went back. The instructor never introduced herself even though we were obviously new to her class, she never worked with my son even though we were struggling. And then she LEFT US STUCK IN THE FOAM PIT. My son and I both left mid lesson in tears. Then we had swim lessons...the first two sessions got canceled because their pool heater broke. Then when she did have her lesson it was rushed and terrible. She left totally discouraged and disappointed. Then their pool heater broke again and they canceled all of our lessons. What a terrible experience. If I could give zero stars I would.

Honestly, we loved this place for a long time and we were long time costumers. My son has a disability. I was hesitant to sign him up for summer camp. They knew him and knew about his behavior issues. I asked for a reasonable accommodation (one that didn’t cost them any money and didn’t charge their programming). They flat out said no. But they also told me not to worry. It would be fine. I gave the counselor a letter from my son’s OT with suggestions on how to help him. They didn’t do any of it. Needless to say, it didn’t go well. They told my son he had been kicked out before they finalized that with me. When I picked him up, he was crying and said he should be in jail. Really? They violated his ADA rights and made him feel terrible. Think twice about this place. And if your kid has any issues, don’t go here.As an aside, bathrooms and changing rooms are gross.

Wonderful place! Staff is extremely nice and super easy to work with, they got my daughter in the same day we called and scheduled our next appointment as conveniently as possible. Everyone made not only us parents but our daughter feel pleasantly welcomed and as comfortable as possible, highly recommend this place!
