I eagerly look forward to practice at the Dojo every week. Never having taken martial arts before, I was nervous about starting and am so glad I landed here! The instructors are amazing. They are patient, kind, explain the why behind the teachings, and integrate it all into an exciting and challenging sport/art/practice. I feel stronger and have more self-confidence than I have ever had before. Love this place!

10.2022, Still here, still training. Still learning new arts and techniques.2015 -It is rare to find a dojo that will offer you the ability to train in a variety of esoteric arts steeped in Nature. Modern and Traditional, The Dojo produces champions in MMA, Kickboxing, and Grappling and retains its reality based fighting skills, The linage is ancient and the instructors have sought out teachings from around the world. Few people are able to make it to the higher levels and those that do experience things few will ever know. There is no other school out there that can match the knowledge found at The Dojo. It is truly an enigma that appears ordinary and remains unknown.

I’ve trained with these guys on and off since 1998 when they were doing it out of their garage on Stover. When people would ask me what kind of art it was, it was difficult to say. Over time I realized these guys took some of the best stuff from different arts and turned it into a mashup. Jujitsu, Kung-Fu, Kempo, Kali/Silat, Bushido, etc…but without rules, so to speak. Most martial arts schools have instructors that have day jobs and teach in the evenings. For the top two guys here, this IS their job. That’s all they do! That’s all they have ever done as long as I’ve known them.Today, when people ask me what kind of art it is I just say, “It’s MMA for the street...and we play with knives.” If you want to learn real street self-defense and use a variety of practical weapons to protect yourself, work with these guys (and gals). It's the real deal.JM

Great place to train and improve yourself, hone your skills and discover strengths you didn't know you had. Not just a gym but a place of higher learning.
