The club is very good overall.Pros: The classes and instructors are top- notch. I have met some good friends from classes here, which is very much valued. The facility is spacious and you can always find a place to work out, unlike some of the cheaper places in town where every machine is taken by 6 pm. It is generally a very nice place, and they do get new equipment regularly. The pool is great.Cons: 90% of the problems are caused by 8% of the members, who are rude or clueless slobs and don't follow accepted hygiene standards. Examples: members who take 3 towels, leaving no towels for members arriving later to the gym. Teenage, female, Asian swim club members who leave wet towels and clumps of black hair all over the floor and in the showers. Asian women who use the hairdryers on their feet and crotches. Lasseiz- faire parents who put non- potty - trained toddlers in the spa. Some people are oblivious to other club members, and cause problems. But the gym is so highly used there are bound to be some problems.General issues:The club could be more timely addressing maintenance issues. The club is always annoyingly trying to push additional revenue - enhancing schemes and additional- fee classes on the members. This does lead to some ( justified) paranoia among long- term members that their favorite classes might be cancelled for an added- fee kiddie class. The management can be jerks, suddenly imposing non- competitive rules on their instructors, who may rely on also working elsewhere to earn health care benefits. The parking lot is not adequate at peak evening times. I wish they would put a strong fan in the women's shower area to vent the steam, to make it less humid. That place is a fungus pit. But I believe I get a lot from my membership here and plan to stay here as long as I can afford it.
