Bay Club Fremont offers a well-rounded fitness experience with various amenities like a spacious facility, swimming pool, and diverse exercise classes. The center has received praise for its friendly and professional staff, who add to the welcoming atmosphere. However, recent renovations and increasing rates have caused some dissatisfaction among members.

Other notable features include a wide range of sports facilities such as tennis and squash courts, as well as complimentary amenities like coffee and towels. Despite its high price, many members find the value justified, but customer service and cleanliness issues have raised concerns for some patrons.

  • Complimentary coffee in the mornings
  • Well-maintained swimming pool
  • Spacious facility with modern equipment
  • Childcare available
  • Free group exercise classes

Drove 40+ minutes here for a Thursday heated yoga class but was not let in the studio because “it’s full”. However, I have signed up for the class online (25 ppl capacity) and obviously some people that didn’t sign up have taken the spots. If it’s a first come first serve style, please make it clear on your website.—————Just talked to the manager, she even said if I’ve been to the class a few times, the instructor should know me and let me in… I was wearing a mask and the room was dark, not sure the teacher recognizes everyone. Also, why it matters if she knows me or not to attend a yoga class? I also counted the number of pairs of shoes outside, at least 28 people plus the instructor in the studio now (over capacity with people not signed up). They could easily install a bar code scanner at the studio door, so people signed up can get a green light to enter. If anyone does not show up, the system can free up the spots for people on the waiting list when class starts.———Ok, here is another follow-up. The Wednesday heated yoga instructor somehow changed his rules too. He refused to let me and another girl in the class although we arrived on time at 5:30pm sharp. Managed to have a class reservation and beat the peak time traffic driving 40 minutes. Again, the instructor was so rude saying “yes, it’s 5:30pm and you are late!” Then he shut the door.

This location closes so early, at 7PM on weekends. Bathrooms are also very dated and aren’t the cleanest. A good number of lockers are also broken or not functioning. However, it appears that they have a remodel planned in the near future.

We’ve been members for a few years and while the rates continue to increase, the overall service offerings have decreased. For the past year, when I go in the evenings, there are never any shower towels available. The lines for the shower are at least 10 people deep and the showers are moldy. Many of the locks on the lockers don’t work nor do the hair dryers. A big part of joining was the childcare offerings but after the pandemic they never re-opened the big kids child care area. Our 10 and 8 yr olds were stuck in an infant/toddler space with nothing to do. They hated it. Now they’re redoing the women’s showers (6 week estimate) and redoing the pool & deck (10 week estimate ) and not prorating dues when half the amenities we use are inaccessible. I sent my concerns in through the app and while they promise a 2 day response turnaround, I still haven’t heard back. This was weeks ago. The only compliment I have to offer are to the female facilities staff that are likely overworked but maintain good service and the more tenured female front desk staff that always smile and greet members cordially. Otherwise, for what they charge, I don’t recommend this gym.

Amazing gym

The customer service is terrible. They added package options and I've had so many billing issues. I feel bad for the sales and front desk staff who have no access to the system to help with issues. You always have go through their clunky app and open a ticket. The ticket goes to nowhere! Issues take days and weeks to resolve. I've had better service at the DMV.

Too expensive and based on what they are offering I don’t think it’s worth it.
