The people at the front were welcoming and went above and beyond to make me (passing through from out of town) feel at home. The gym itself is great too, with a great variety of routes. The locker rooms were clean and have showers. This place is a gem in Fresno for sure.

I've been climbing at MetalMark for 10 years now. Fantastic place, Fresno is lucky to have such a wonderful gym for the climbing community to gather. Special shout out to the talented team route setters. They produce creative and interesting climbs for people of all abilities.

These guys are awesome! Seriously worried about having 5 kids (8-13yr) but the staff helped set me up and the kids had an amazing time. At least 2 outta 5 will be future climbers .....the others are good observers.

David at the front desk was very helpful! There's a decent weight lifting area, and some cardio machines. They have bouldering, top roping and lead climbing. I had a great time in the early morning. They also had some hangboards. Will definitely come again if I'm ever in Fresno.

Made the mistake of going to this place for my birthday awhile back. At the time, there was a very small-statured Asian man working there named John. He was incredibly rude and condescending to my brother and I, even though we were kind and friendly to the guy. I was shocked. The staff seems like it’s made up of a bunch of climbers with broken dreams of becoming pros, but instead, they had to settle for a minimum wage job at some crummy old climbing gym. Sadly, it felt like John was projecting that frustration onto us during our visit. Ever since that awful experience, I’ve been spreading the word to friends: go to a different climbing gym. Don’t subject yourself to the attitudes of this unprofessional staff.

This place charges me up every time I walk through the door. It’s bright, spacious, full of friendly faces. The staff have answered every question I have with expertise. The clientele has the best vibe of any gym I’ve climbed at. Folks are friendly, and passionately engaged in the sport without distractions or self consciousness. The weight area, cardio machines, and daily classes are worth the membership fees on their own.I spend on average 4-6 hours myself. Cardio->climbing->lifting->cardio->repeat until I drop!In fact, my wife’s signed up with no intention of climbing. She needs a safe space to lift, and grow her fitness at the daily instructor led workouts and yoga. She’s all in after getting a day pass and doing a working out while I climb. They offer so much for so little, I can’t fit it in one review. If you’re in the area just pop your head in, say hi to the folks at the desk, see what classes are on the calendar for the month.
