Ricardo is one of the best coaches I've met. He's highly skilled and professional in BJJ and coaching. His classes are great for all levels. I believe gym offers free trial classes as well. I highly recommend BJJ Gainesville.

Ricardo is professional and a top-notch athlete. He invited us to train at his gym, and treated my daughter and I like family. He is kind, knowledgeable, respectful and a true gem, especially with regards to the sport of Jiu Jitsu. Highly recommend 5/5! And for parents, remember: IF you want to give your child an unfair advantage in life, sign them up for Jiu-Jitsu. The discipline of the sport carries over into all aspects of their lives. OSS

Visiting from the Pinellas county area and found a great place to train, open mat Sat from 10-12. Prof Ricardo was very good to train with. Lots of wisdom and experience. Highly recommend if your in the Gainesville area.

My three boys have been training with Ricardo for 7 months now. Ricardo has instilled in them a strong sense of discipline, greatly increased their strength and coordination, and given them a great outlet for all their boy energy. I highly recommend this gym for anyone young and old who wants a great jujitsu instructor and a fun environment for learning.

OMG Ricardo is the best. He is very patient and handles his students with so much care. He shows the student how to do the work out and carefully follows through. I am truly honored to have Ricardo (a World Champion Black Belt) 🤼♂️ as my Jujitsu professor. I am motivated every time to push my limits. I feel stronger and my body is transforming in many good ways (including weight loss😏). The classes are so much fun as we push through the workouts with some injected humor in the mix 🤣. He is so funny. We end the class with some meditation to calm the mind and body. I am truly grateful. Good way to boost your day with good vibes. Try his classes 🤗

I've been training with Professor Ricardo for about a month now, and my improvement from when I started to now is amazing.Every class, he pays great attention to each student and ensures that they understand and are able to apply the techniques. He takes great care of all his students and is very careful that no one gets injured.It is a great privilege to learn from a World Champion such as Ricardo.

Highly recommend joining this gym for all levels especially when you're just starting out. Professor Ricardo fosters a safe yet challenging training environment that will ensure growth every class. He's a very perceptive instructor who keeps track of every students' progress (weakness, strengths, etc) and uses that knowledge to give individualized tips to his students depending on the day's lesson.Being a great instructor is one thing. Professor Ricardo is also a really good person! You can tell how deeply he cares about his students. Deciding to join this gym was one of the easiest decisions I've made. Definitely hop on a class one day and see for yourself!

Ricardo is an extremely knowledgeable instructor. I have done martial arts in the past, but this was my first experience with BJJ and grappling in general.Ricardo catered to each student and made sure to clarify any questions as they came up. The amount of knowledge I gained in one class was amazing. I left with a strong foundation in bridging and guard feeling confident that I could already begin to apply it.I will definitely be back.
