I have an active Anytime Fitness membership and am unable to use the Munster, Dyer, and Schererville facility any longer. I was told that this is bc my membership is paid through my insurance and that 'explanation' is lacking at best. I feel that since Anytime Fitness promotes that members can use the membership nationwide, and I have successfully used in parts of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri, then I should not be restricted from utilizing the locations nearest my home.

The Munster, Dyer, and Schererville facilities are no longer permitting access to members that pay through their insurance. Anytime Fitness promotes that members can use the membership nationwide, so branches should not restrict access to members at locations near their homes. Either these facilities should no longer restrict access, or Anytime Fitness should no longer be able to include the statement that “You will have access to all gyms at any location and can work out at any gym you choose.”

Great place and trainers. Staff wore masks and some clients. You pick up a towel and spray bottle upon entry and Must wipe down before and after use of every equipment. No crowd and everyone kept social distance in place. It's been 2 years and I still love this location!!!

I absolutely love this gym! I take advantage of the personal training sessions, which has truly helped me stay consistent with my workouts. I love the fact that not only it’s 24/7…you can also check the app to get an idea of how crowded the gym during the time you’d like to go. I 100% recommend this gym.

The BEST anytime fitness I've ever been to, heck the best Gym ever!! I've been a client of small group training sessions for a little over two years now, and it's part of my daily routine. Management and coaches are fantastic (s/o Ricky, B🐐 , Imani, Jori, Nate, and Kendal - they rock).Always clean, new equipment, and lots of events happening.

I find it interesting that I wrote a scathing but truthful review about the numerous issues and lack of professionalism at this location just 3 days ago and it disappeared today. I'm going to assume that's a Google issue.I had summarized a list of long time issues with maintenence and upkeep of the faculty. I was told in my original review by the owner that a staff member would approach me to address my concerns but that hasn't happened. The following Monday, the entire staff was there, they know who I am, I made sure they knew I wrote it, and instead of talking with me, they awkwardly avoided and/or glared at/gave me dirty looks from a distance. In these past 2 days, other members made sure I knew who was glaring or avoiding me and it's nothing I didn't see myself. And trust me when I say I have a lot of encouragement and support from the other members, including former members of this location via social media. I have a reputation of being very friendly, nice, and helpful to other members. There are maybe 2 employees (coaches) I would exclude from this behavior. I'm guessing they're stuck in an uncomfortable position. But there seems to be obvious favoritism towards the members that participate in the fitness classes to those who don't since most of the issues relate to only the freeweight section of the gym. They used to have a sign up that said if a problem was reported to the staff, it would be addressed within 48 hours or receive a free month. That sign disappeared years ago and the problems started. A friend recently filed a complaint at another location & it was handled in 2 days. The issues included not replacing equipment that is damaged or broken, some having been this way for years like a flat bench that caused me to tweak my back as it shifted to one side while benching (still missing those screws), a chipped ez curl bar that caused me to slice my finger, a bent barbell that's been that way for about 2 years and a 2nd one is starting to bend (there are only 4). And I've regularly helped put left out weights, garbage, and equipment away on my own. This includes bringing in my own tools to fix their equipment with other members as my witness and 1 day, one even assisted me.This is because of my own habits and 8 years of experience working at a gym (desk worker, trainer, building manager, etc. ). There are non working soap dispensers as well as air dryers so clients weren't able to properly wash their hands. A vent in the gender neutral bathroom hanging on by a sicouple of screws in the ceiling waiting to fall on someone, a hole in the wall of the same bathroom. So you can't wash and dry your hands by you may have a ceiling vent fall on youLack of cleanliness with stains being in the free weight sections forweeks at a time (someone isn't mopping). I honestly didn't even know we had a cleaning or maintenence pardon hired.I still don't know who the cleaning person is. But other members said she is female, comes in the morning, only vacuums the rug, does cardio, and leaves. I can't speak to this specific situation since I have not witnessed it. There are malfunctioning treadmills that have caused 2 Members to almost fall. I've seen the footage to one event.Lack of security, I've seen on numerous occasions over the years where on weekends several members will open the door for a friend. But former staff claim they watch the cameras yet I've seen some of these people continuously do it. So if they watch the cameras like they say, then I'm sure they are being caught each time. But during all this time when maintenence has been neglected, they had the money for reebok Spartan Weighted logs/foam rollers and two new stair masters. The treadmills haven't had working TV or internet in over 2 years.I was saving some of this for the in person chat but it looks like they're afraid to have it and chose to constantly avoid me these last two days, even when I intentionally walk by the manager without headphones, he avoided me and made no effort to speak to me, so I'm putting it all here
