By far the best TKD style martial arts studio/dojang around. I can't speak for any of the jujitsu places, but this beats all the other TKD schools in the area.The training is good.The facilities are clean.The people are friendly.Most importantly, the head instructor cares about what he does and reinvests in the school.

Joe Calhoun is so good with his young students. He is firm and loving all at the same time. His gym on Pass Road is the perfect environment for young kids to learn to follow the rules/routines, be organized/responsible for their things, and take direction. He gives quick sharp commands for students to sit down and follow directions, but it is most often done with a twinkle in his eye.Before signing my 6-year old up I was hesitant and had reservation, but by the end of the free trial class I was on board and very willing to become a part of the Tiger Rock Family.

in the 90s i was a student of gulfport job corp where i lean taekwondo their i was train under ms clark who was train by master calhoun i was student of master calhoun and lean the art of taekwondo it was the best time of my life and in joy going to tournaments and nationals so today i was going threw some my old stuff i had left i don't have any my belts no more and lost a lot of my gear but i still have this .... the only thing that i never got was my black belt my last belt i was a senior red belt but im ok with that because i had the best teacher and i got to be apart of master calhoun class so i want to say thank you master calhoun for being apart of class in the 90s......

Took my granddaughter up today, who is beginning classes, and the facility and instructor were very nice. I may check into the adult classes myself. 🙂 …

My son Kole has learned so much, it gives him a sense of pride and confidence. Master Calhoun is great with all his students he takes time to get to know all of them. And Instructor and front desk worker Janice treats all of the kids like they are her own. We love this place.
