Equinox South Bay

This equinox location is dirtier and stinkier than any other location I’ve been to, especially in the locker room/showers. Otherwise it’s large and nice but I’d never *choose* to come here.

"Disappointing Customer Service at Equinox South Bay Gym"I am normally reserved when it comes to writing reviews, but my recent experience at Equinox Gym in South Bay has compelled me to share my thoughts.There's no denying that Equinox boasts some of the best fitness facilities around, but what truly makes a gym stand out is its staff. Unfortunately, the level of customer service I received from two employees, Danny (female) and Tiffany, was far from satisfactory.I made an early morning trip to the gym, arriving at 5 a.m., expecting a smooth and speedy check-in process to maximize my workout time. However, Danny and Tiffany were less than accommodating. Their approach was not only unprofessional but also lacked the basic courtesy you would expect from employees of a reputed establishment like Equinox.There was a distinct lack of urgency shown by the concierge’s both Danny and Tiffany, who seemed more interested in their personal conversation than in assisting me with my check-in. They were dismissive and unresponsive to my questions, and it took an unnecessarily long time to figure out the issue just to be turned away and not granted access to the gym for a billing error on their end.As a paying member of Equinox, I feel let down by the lack of professionalism and customer service demonstrated by these two employees. It's disheartening to see that despite the high membership fees, the level of customer service does not match the premium that Equinox charges.In conclusion, a gym is more than its equipment and facilities; it's about the people who run it. I hope Equinox South Bay can improve its customer service, particularly in the early hours of the day, to better serve its dedicated members. For now, I'm left feeling disenchanted and considering other fitness options.

I’ve been going here for 5+ years and it is the best gym! You are greeted every time you enter and the staff here is very attentive. I have recommended EQX to many friends and will continue to do so.

Great space, great staff, great workout facility- but the locker room still requires you to bring your own lock to secure your locker. Is it 1992? Makes it unreasonable to visit this studio as a socal access member when in the southbay because I don’t carry a spare lock on my keychain. Front desk didn’t have any for “rent” either. Gotta update this issue for the modern member.

Really an upscale gym. Love the chilled scented towels and we’ll staffed cleaning crew to keep it looking nice and clean.

I was a member of this gym for 8 months and it is by far the best gym in the area. I had to move out of California and the cancel process was straight forward and there were no issues. I highly recommend Equinox South Bay and I really do miss it everyday.

Despite what I was told, and despite being a prior equinox member (all access) for several years (only reason I am not is because I moved away) will not let me pay money to drop in even though I was given misinformation that I could. Terrible customer service.

Great gym. Very friendly staff. Extremely clean facility. I love all of the instructors and the variety of classes offered. Never too crowded.
