Absolutely wonderful!!! Training is professional, customer service is perfect. The studio is so inviting AND everyone who trains here are friendly and welcome you! Omar and Karol are so patient and really take the time to make the students feel comfortable and to make sure they are learning the techniques properly. I am honored to say my kids are trained by Omar Salum. If you have any doubt in your mind, look up Omar Salum and you will realize he is the real deal!

I visited Hemet and wanted to still train while here. I wrote to Professor Omar and he invited me in. Everyone there was welcoming instructors and students both! The mats and gym were very clean and well organized classes. Thank you!!

Gracie Hemet Academy isn't just a Jiu Jitsu academy, it's a culture. Since starting in May I've had the opportunity to train along side some amazing people. Omar Salum as an instructor is patient, knowledgeable and approachable with a great work ethic. The students are more than willing to help and provide a positive and safe environment. Doesn't matter your goal Gracie Hemet Academy will definitely get you there whether it be weight loss, conditioning or competition.

Our son has been with Gracie Hemet now for 8 months. We were originally on a 6 month contract with Gracie Barra over in the Lake Elsinore area. Although the Gracie Barra School in Lake Elsinore provided a good foundation of training; that was the extent of it. The instructor at Gracie Barra Lake Elsinore was not available between or after classes for follow-up questions / concerns. He was never interested in talking about competitions outside of Gracie Barra in-house competitions and would only work with the students within the 50 minutes allotted time in each class. We always felt like the instructor was not approachable. As well, we showed up for regularly scheduled classes on several occasions to find the school closed and we never received any communication on this.Prior to the end of our 6 month contract, we started to look for other schools and stumbled on Gracie Jiu Jitsu Hemet and it was the best find we ever made. Even though our son was still under contract with Gracie Barra Lake Elsinore, Gracie Jiu Jitsu Hemet took him in under their wing to provide additional training for his first Competition in Las Vegas with Grappler’s Quest under the UFC Fan Expo Banner. As well, Gracie Hemet offered to coach him at the tournament and our son took a Gold medal, winning the division and his very first tournament. These guys know what they are doing!!!!Gracie Hemet was able to review the skill-set he gained at Gracie Barra Lake Elsinore, and make the necessary corrections / changes to his technique and prepare him for his first competition and win!!! At that point, we gave notice at Gracie Barra Lake Elsinore and have never looked back.Gracie Jiu Jitsu is a quality martial arts school and Adam Figurski, the school’s owner, is very attentive to student’s needs and has always been available to address any questions or concerns we have had along the way and communicate and school closures (limited) and special events. The quality of instruction and the attention to each student’s progress cannot be matched at other schools. Gracie Hemet is in tune with each student’s desires and will train them accordingly, whether they just want to learn self-defense, or in our case, to compete.Our son has achieved 1 Gold, 3 Silver, and 1 Bronze medal in competition since training at Gracie Jiu Jitsu Hemet. We really feel like we are part of a family with Gracie Jiu Jitsu Hemet and often hang out with the instructors, fighters, and other students outside of class. Gracie Jiu Jitsu also has two other affiliate schools under Royler Gracie in the Murrieta and Temecula area that we can train at any time we want.We have been so impressed with the quality & level of training that we upgraded our son’s membership to the Black Belt Program that allows him access to advanced classes as well as MMA training from trained professionals in the industry.

I have been training at Gracie Hemet Jiu Jitsu under Professor Adam Figurski for over 2 years. The training I have received has been top notch. I am more confident, more secure and (at age 37) in the best shape I have been in since high school. Professor Adam has made it easy for me to enroll and disenroll my son so that he can train during the football offseason. I plan on getting my 3 year old son involved as soon as he is old enough to start training (age 4). The self defense skills learned in jiu jitsu classes are unparallelled and certainly help children become more "bully proof." The people who train at the school are all really friendly and very helpful. The competitive and "insider" mentality that I have seen in other martial arts schools is nonexistent. Everyone works together to make each other better.

This is a great school!! I highly recommend it. Adam Figurski the instructor, is amazing, very knowledgeable and patient with all of his students (new and old). Always seems to be in a great mood and is always up to help people. Great professor!!

A few quick notes for those interested in joining Gracie Hemet Jiu Jitsu Academy. Wether you are looking for self defense, competition Jiu Jitsu ,Muay Thai, or mixed marshal arts training they have well trained instructors at every level. My sons joined Gracie Hemet Jiu Jitsu Academy in November 2011. Since that time we have seen improvement in all areas of their lives naming a few are respect, self confidence, their thriving in their academics and many new friends. Seeing all the improvements in my sons it encouraged me to join 6 months later. My wife joined 3 mos. after she had our youngest son. It eases my mind to know that my family could protect them selves if need be. Our family is extremely grateful that professor Adam Figurski has brought such a unique art as Gracie Jiu Jitsu to the Hemet Valley. We would like to thank you for the summer program our sons attended they loved it and learned to have fun and at the same time to respect others. In November 2012 one of the schools instructors took time off from there job to coach myself , my 2 sons, and 2 other boys at a competition in Las Vegas. I've never had any problems with Gracie Hemet Jiu Jitsu Academy. I've been a student for a year now, and enjoy every bit of it. The thing I enjoy the most is watching the kids class. It so interesting how will these kids understand the concept of Jiu Jitsu and better yet apply it while sparring. There are all kinds of students that enrolls here. We have students that are here strictly for self defense, students for who are in competition level, students who are in MMA, students who are interested in health and fitness, plus many more. Adam Figurski is a great professor. He never looks down on anyone and he has a huge understanding of everyones goals on the mat. Professor Adam also started a Bully Program that was highly effective and fun for the kids during the summer. His Bully Program not only helped kids, but parents as well to understand signs of child bullying. I highly recommend Gracie Hemet Jiu Jitsu Academy.
