Went in for a video analysis of my running technique and some tips on correct form. I was coming in from out of town and I was in contact with Thad for about a week beforehand. He was quick to respond to my emails. My session lasted about an hour, and included making a video of me running on a treadmill and outside, all from various angles. Thad sat with me and went over his initial thoughts for all the videos, then we went to the "gym" area and he showed me some tips. About 5 days later, I got the videos with audio analysis. Since I'm out of town, he was open to me sending him videos in a few months to critique me after fixing my issues. I would highly recommend him!

I have known Thad for about a year, in a personal (client) capacity as well as a professional capacity as a physical therapist. Thad is able to display his knowledge of his experience and the exercise science behind training in a fluid way for his clients to grasp and implement accordingly. His studio is open to novice and repeated competitors alike and blends the community gracefully. As a physical therapist, I have worked with some of the same clients along the way and Thad is highly understanding, flexible, and works seamlessly with any adjustments and plan of cares that I may have regarding someone with a injury. Anytime someone comes into my clinic and mentions running, I mentioned Thad before they leave my clinic.

Signing our family up for the beginning running program was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Duncan worked with each of us individually to help us with our running form, suggested exercises and encouraged us all along the way. Great experience and excited to sign up for more programs with Runnerdude.

I started with RunnerDude Fitness to train for my first half marathon in 2013. At the time my longest run was 6 miles so I joined the Race training group. 14 weeks later I successfully ran my first half marathon and have run about 7 more since. I joined the Runegade program almost 3 years ago and I love it. The Thursday tabata workout is perfect for strength training and has improved my running. Now I'm training for my first marathon. Thad and Duncan have both helped my husband and I meet several different goals whether distance or time and are always there to help with any running/nutrition related questions. Plus I've met a lot of people (from beginners to Boston Marathoners) who are now some of my closest friends.

After turning 40 I decided to try running for the 1st time in my life. I met with Thad aka RunnerDude and took his beginning running class. I enjoyed the gradual increase in running, but most of all I appreciated his style of coaching. He didn't yell or get in your face. He let you go at your own pace, but always there with encouragement and provided helpful tips. Since starting with RunnerDude I continue to run with his groups, and have ran several 10Ks, ran my 1st half marathon & am training for my 2nd half. I wouldn't be where I am with out his training.

Thad (the Runnerdude) McLauren is one of the most dedicated trainers, and human beings, I have ever met. What I, my husband, and so many other people have accomplished under his careful guidance is nothing short of incredible. For anyone who is sincerely interested in better fitness, or in running, Thad and his son Duncan are the best. Do not expect immediate results. This is not a fad program. You will get out what you put in. But Thad is one of the most motivating, encouraging people I have ever met. The training programs he and Duncan create and customize for each individual will get you where you want to go.....when you are ready. The guys are life changers!!!

I've been a runner for a while and ran collegiately at Erskine College. However, once I started training with Runnerdude Fitness for several half and a full marathon I learned so many techniques and how to train effectively for each race. These are aspects I lacked in my earlier running days. I could not have completed my PRs without his plans! Thad helped answer numerous questions I had along the way about black toenails, stride analysis, fueling, etc. He also helped encourage my fitness and running during my pregnancy, and now easing back in after my daughter's arrival. Runnerdude helps anyone, any age, train for their own personal goals while creating a supportive community of runners that seem more like family each and every day!

I've been running with the dudes and dudettes for over a year now and have built so many wonderful life-long friendships. We sweat together, laugh together, and race together! Thad is a great trainer and somehow manages to keep up with all our different training schedules. If you're a runner of any level, or even someone who is just interested in trying out running for the very first time, this group is for you! You won't regret it!
