Grandmaster Park's Chung Do Kwan Taekwondo

I have been a student at Grand Master Park's Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do and although I began training as a woman a little later in life. And although I was a little anxious about how I might be able to interact and train with the differing ages and skills - GM Park and his team were able to help me learn and grow safely and carefully even though I was anxious!In the long run, all of the training I have been offered has allowed me to grow in confidence and strength as a person and as a whole has had a terrific lingering effect on my life! I am always proud that I can say with confidence that I hold a probationary Black Belt, and that some day I will hopefully be able to progress to a full-blown Black Belt!Grand Master Park and his team truly care about the students across the board, and no matter what the situation - they work diligently to be conscientious of all of the students!While GM Park and team are so careful of everyone's safety, they are also caring enough to offer alternative options when/if needed (especially for adults, since sometimes an adult's schedule can become complicated). It only makes sense - that GM Park must be conscientious of all of his students - so, when he offers support and/or advice or proposes changes to alternatives offered - as a student we must respect his decisions because he has many people to care for.I would highly recommend training with GM Park and his team, no matter what age, gender or skill level! Each person can and will have an opportunity to learn and grow with strength of mind and body!

I've been at this school for over 6 years now. It's the best place in Indy to learn traditional Taekwondo. No other school teaches as many of the original forms, because not many other teachers have experience with so many of the original forms.This is a great place for a child to start in Taekwondo. I've worked with many kids. Some learn fast, and some take much longer, but the ones who stick with it always get better. I've been impressed by some of the kids who did not understand at first, but went on to become quite skilled.I personally had done Taekwondo at a few other schools before coming here. It's always tough adjusting to a new school, but I felt very welcomed, and learned a lot of Taekwondo skills I had never seen at the other schools.

I earned my black belt under GM Park in 2000 after being referred to him by other trusted instructors. I find GM Park to run a disciplined, fair, and safe martial arts school. I highly recommend his school to anyone looking for a well disciplined martial arts school in which to train. You will be guided, taught and nurtured. I am currently continuing my training under GM Park.

My teenager has been a student of Grandmaster Park for nearly 13 years. Through GM Park’s mentorship my son has grown stronger, more confident, and more mature socially and emotionally. Additionally, GM Park’s strict, deliberate, and considerate approach in his teaching has instilled a great sense of self esteem and respect for others, as well as an appreciation for the value of academic excellence. The pivotal moment for my teenager was when he truly earned his 1st-degree black belt and was officially invited to attend the black belt class on Saturday mornings. Ten years later, he is almost a 4th-degree black belt! If one is serious about studying the true art of taekwondo, then GM Park’s Chung Do Kwan TKD is the school that is highly recommended!

My family's experience with Grand Master Park has been exactly what I had hoped for in my children's and personal development. I enrolled my three children in the Fall of 2019 to teach them how to be focused and disciplined in mind and body. As I observed the progress my children made in the majesty of Tae Kwon Do, I felt these same principles offered something that I too was missing in my adult life. Thus, I joined in the Fall of 2020 and have not looked back. I have greatly appreciated the camaraderie as well as the challenge provided by Grand Master Park and Master Perry as well as the many excellent other advanced students who have graciously given their time to train both myself and my children. The education provided is both tough and fair. The loyalty that I see from day to day in this environment Grand Master Park has cultivated over many decades is awe-inspiring.

My partner has attended the school for many years and has greatly enjoyed the experience. It can be difficult to find activities in adulthood that are welcoming and can provide the right level of challenge, all while respecting the unique needs of adult participants. My partner has a genetic condition that can cause pain and limit movement, yet he has felt consistently encouraged with a path of advanced suited to him. It's been a joy to see his progress. I appreciate how caring and supportive the staff has been. I'm grateful for all the opportunities he's had to grow in many aspects, as both a student and teacher.I highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a supportive environment to grow in.

Master Park and his school is the best experience I had in my life and now have my kids in. When I was younger it taught me about discipline and self achievement. It gave me something to work towards that was all on me and that I achieved or failed based on my efforts and desire. That desire and discipline has helped me in my life as a Husband, Father, and School Teacher.My kids have been in TaeKwanDo with Master Park for over a year now and it has been amazing. My daughter has learned self-confidence and strength and it has also helped her physically. My son at 5 now has learned that the discipline is important and the skills learned in Focusing have helped him in school and at home.If you want a place that can make a difference in your life or the life of your kid, THIS is the place. I have not seen another school that is willing to teach with the grit and tough love that is needed and has been lost in our society.Thank you to Master Park and his other instructors for all they have done for my family. I am truly a better person and can see my kids becoming better people themselves even at a young age!

This school stands alone in my review of martial arts studios and instructors in Indianapolis, especially for children as they learn respect, discipline, self confidence and means to focus.I have two black belts and have been in trucker myself for a decade since over 25 years in martial arts and when traveling and visiting my friends in Indiana they asked me if I could find a class for their children I found the school and they are very pleased with the results and their children.It is taught by a Grandmaster who I highly recommend to teach as they have such a depth of knowledge it is hard to find in many schools. He teaches how to be a better person not a bully like some schools do.This is validated by the positive changes in their children that they have shared with me.

We have had two children successfully earn their black belts here, and now our third child is old enough to take Taekwondo from Grandmaster Park. His school is the real deal. Our child is learning with traditional methods -- including discipline, respect, and self-control. These attributes have come in handy, not only in Taekwondo class, but also in school and at home. In addition to getting great exercise, he is improving his coordination and focus through these classes. Not to mention self-defense. Master Park has always been very respectful towards us parents as well. He runs his school and his classes very conscientiously in the traditional Taekwondo format in order to deliver top-notch instruction to each student. Just one of the many reasons why our family highly recommends Grandmaster Park's school!

Our 5-year-old son has been training with Grandmaster Park for 1 year. We have seen great progress and are signing our daughter up when she is old enough. We are impressed with the comprehensive focus of their training methods. The Masters address flexibility, self-defense, form, safety, and character-building. Grandmaster Park and his staff are vested in each child's success and growth. They spend individualized time with the kids and will adjust their approach to each participant's learning style.
