Josh and Cameron are the best instructors I’ve had in BJJ. Gracie indio’s system has gave me an upper hand in my rolling practice in open mats. I wish I could continue training but unfortunately my schedule does not allow me to. I highly HIGHLY recommend everyone looking to learn BJJ the right way to attend Gracie Indio. The only thing they could improve on is having a 5am class 😭.

Love this place, I have trained off and on for 15+ years, been to over 10 BJJ schools, because of my job, I travel a lot. This is the best one I have been to!!! They teach real Gracie Jiu Jitsu for self defense. Most BJJ schools teach sport Jiu Jitsu for tournaments that have rules. Street fights don't have rules. You fight how you train. You will learn real self defense here. I Love the systematic teaching, the attention to detail, family environment. You don't need to be in shape, you will get there. Absolutely love this place and the people that train here. Don't hesitate, just give it a try!

Drop-In ReviewMy 3 teenage kids and I dropped in to two classes while in the area for a family vacation. This was our first experience at a Gracie Jiu Jitsu gym but not our first time dropping in on a new gym while on a vacation. That said, if I could, I would give Gracie Jiu Jitsu Indio 6 stars!. Josh, Nikki, and Cameron very welcoming. Not only did they seem genuinely excited to have us “randos” in classes, and make every attempt to ensure we felt welcomed, but they were also super attentive to our little group during the skill drilling.We have dropped-in at several gyms over the years while on family trips and we have had our fair share of lame experiences. At Gracie Jiu Jitsu Indio we experienced none of the negative things we have come to expect from unfamiliar gyms. The staff was super reasonable when they weren’t overly generous. The facility felt spacious and very well maintained. The mats, changing rooms, bathroom, benches, etc. were all nice and clean.If we are ever back in the area, we’ll definitely drop back into this gym. Zero reservations.

Incredible place! Not only good for actual jiujitsu training, but they are truly investing in each person. My kids left feeling empowered physically and mentally! Would absolutely recommend!

Having experienced a few gyms, and the start/stop cycles due to injuries and personal pauses I can attest to the challenge in pursuing a productive BJJ journey. As with anything, commitment and consistency are paramount or one can go through motions for a very long time before things click. Even with commitment at the ready, there needs to be a marriage with technical and fundamentals mastery instruction. Cameron, Josh, and Nikki provide this here in an impressive fashion. They genuinely are passionate about their craft, their operation, and more importantly teaching with excellence. This is not easy to find in my experience no matter the subject. Great school, great folks…see you on the mats!

I am so thankful we came across this studio two years ago! We started with the bully-proof week session and here we are a few years later, enjoying this amazing community of Gracie jiu jitsu. Cameron is such a down to earth guy, he works so well with kids and I just admire his teaching approach and patience. I’ve seen my son’s confidence grow and it’s because of Cameron and the team. Highly recommend Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Indio! My son absolutely loves coming to classes, he is taught so many things about self defense, how to build his confidence, respect, using healthy words, and how to handle situations with bully’s. I’ve seen a dramatic change in how he now approaches his issues.
