I cannot say enough good things about this gym. The coaches are excellent. They are knowledgeable and experienced. They adapt to your skill level and are genuinely committed to helping you achieve your goals. After being a member at this gym for quite some time now, I can say without a doubt that I highly recommend the Fitsmith.

I have been going to see Max and The Fitsmith for the past couple years. I started completely out of shape, unable to do basic exercises, and cramped up every set. Max was super patient, worked through the hurdles, was super flexible with my crazy work schedule and believed in my ability to change my lifestyle.I have dropped quite a bit of weight, have more confidence in working out and most importantly feel better about myself.Max and his team are one of a kind. It's not an easy thing to do but if you stick with it and make small minor adjustments to your life outside the gym such as eating better then you will be healthier and feel better.

I struggled with being overweight since I was a teenager. TFS has helped me be kind to myself, understand what works for me, and build healthy habits for a better lifestyle. It's a physical and a mental transformation. Every trainer at TFS is a wealth of knowledge, they take an interest in your progress and make you look forward to working out. I have a LONG way to go, but Max, Cam, Bernardo and Mo - I am so glad I found you guys! This is what six months at TFS has given me

Max and all the trainers here are extremely knowledgeable. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. They are patient, motivating, and will help you achieve your goals.I love that the workouts are in a group setting but still personalized to each individual. You never have the same workout twice and they will customize to what you are trying to achieve.Max also has great expertise in nutrition and will help customize a plan that matches your workouts.I definitely recommend The Fitsmith to help you reach your fitness and nutrition goals!

TLDR; Probably the BEST personal training set-up I’ve ever encountered — extremely welcoming and positive trainers who make you feel strong while challenging your body and mind to move in novel ways.I started the new year (2019) with this gym because I wanted (1) to try something new and attempt to get a personal trainer again and (2) really push my body to try new moves. The Fitsmith (TFS) has one of the best set-up’s you can ask for — it’s a blend of personal training and group fitness classes with the best of both worlds. That is, you still get one-on-one coaching where the trainers learn about your goals, give you feedback on workout routines, nutrition, and wholistic health but without the expensive price tag. (For context, I’ve been training myself consistently since the summer of 2015 using a combination of group fitness classes, training apps, YouTube videos, and even had a personal trainer at one point.)You sign up for an hour slot to show up at the gym, receive your workouts through an app (which the trainers will write up and load into your account), and basically go at your own pace with the support of 1-3 trainers walking the floor whom you can ask questions and help spot your form. For me, this is the ideal format as I’ve had a personal trainer before and while she was fantastic, it did get quite awkward after the first 15 mins when you run out of new life updates to talk about and your trainer just stares at you for the remaining 30-45mins counting your reps. They change up your workout format every month or so such that your body is constantly challenged and can’t get too comfortable with old moves! If you’re unsure because you’re an absolute beginner and would like someone to help watch over you, I would still say TFS is a fantastic choice. When I started, the coaches stayed close by to make sure I understood the exercise (AKA. Worked the correct muscle groups and did’t injure myself). When they felt that I was comfortable going to them when I needed help, they gave me the space to do so (which is my personal preference).

I recommend Fitsmith without hesitation. I’m 7 months in and have seen excellent results with Max, Cam, Mo and Matt. These coaches are dedicated to their profession and provide a safe, and supportive environment for their clients.Workouts are tailored to your abilities with a long term focus to get you mobile and strong. Any injuries (rare) are treated with caution and workouts modified immediately to avoid further injury. All types of clients go here and everyone is motivated during their sessions and enjoys the atmosphere. If you (like me) walk in to a big box gym with little strategy and a default to the same old routines, then I suggest some time at Fitsmith. They’ll get you thinking about the new trends in strength training and will get you fit!!

Can not say enough great things about Max and his team. They are just the most attentive, thoughtful, and encouraging group of trainers you could ever hope to train with. Max and his awesome staff display a genuine interest in helping people (as evidenced last year when they gathered and transported all kinds of foods and supplies for hurricane victims.) Do not expect to find the layout of a typical gym. This is an elite training facility that has placed an emphasis on functionality so you actually work (you do not rely on any machines, YOU are the machine). Really grateful to have had the experience of training at Fitsmith.

Such an amazing place to work out. The friendly environment from not only the trainers, but also the people working out right next to you, is so comforting and encouraging. You are not just another person walking into FitSmith. You are called by name and remembered if you have been in once or one hundred times. The personalized workouts really help you learn what the right workouts are for you and your body. Five stars is not enough to express how wonderful this gym is.

It had been 4 years since I last had a trainer or any sort of physical activity. Wanting to get back in shape, it was crucial for me to train under someone who was passionate about helping me, understood my dietary restrictions and motivated me to achieve my best.I came across Fitsmith as I was passing through the area, gave them a call and met up with the owner Max. Soon thereafter, I signed up for their intro sessions through which I got a real good feel for the place.I recently completed 2 months and what makes me look forward to coming here is the: (1) coaches: Max, Cam, Mo and Nat are all fantastic professionals to work with (2) pre-workout stretches and warm-ups (3) the coaches attention to the details: techniques, posture, pace (4) small group sizes (5) tailored workouts based on individual goals (6) use of technology.

This is the best gym that I've been to. The coaches remember your name and customize your workouts. The coaching staff is always friendly. This gym focuses on total health, not just fat loss or gains. One of the best parts about this gym is that it doesn't have an overwhelming number of clients, so you get to build relationships with other members. To be fair, this is a pricey gym, but you get what you pay for. I definitely recommend it.
