My son has been going here since he was almost 3 and he loves Master Dye and he really loves going here. He is doing great and really picks up the routines easily because they work so well with the kids. He is also respectful and polite and he learns that at Karate (and home 😁) …

Rick Dye may be a good teacher but he is a terrible role model for kids. He just attacked me and several others on a social media post and issued threats of violence referencing his martial arts skills simply because we had a difference of opinion on a political matter. The only threats of violence in the thread were made by Rick and it was way out of proportion. He made threats and wanted me and other people to "come to my school" if we "wanted some" This is the same school where you kids go, this is not a stable person. This not a person I would want teaching my kids.

Master Dye is great with kids and adults. I'm very happy with what he teaches... focus and discipline and just overall being a good person whil teaching martial arts and self defense. My son loves class and we've been coming back 2 days a week every week

It's a great school for our children to learn how to protect, discipline themselves and to be respectful, helpful to the others. We love and respect all the teachers there who love our kids and are trying hard to make a difference in their lives.

My son,Tyler, attended Academy School Of Mixed Martial Arts where he learned, not only martial arts, but high moral standards. He also learned the importance of honesty, and the value of helping others become the best that they can be. ACMMA provides individual interest in each student resulting in high personal growth standards, in the martial arts, as well as in everyday life. Thank you for helping my son become the young man he is today.

Good school. I reviewed the school on Yelp but somehow, missed the new address and posted the review on the "moved" listing. I hate to repeat what I've written so I will just write that my niece, who is the apple of my eyes and my nephew enjoy the classes taught by Rick.

We started with Master Dye through Kent Commons, but my son and daughter enjoy training with him so much we switched over to his DoJo and have been training with him for over 3 years now. They have trained and earned their belts from white through red, so far and have become more confident and disciplined over their time here.

This is a wonderful place to train, whether you are looking for a quality kids' program, practical self-defense, or great cardio-kickboxing, they have it all. The Black Belt instructors are phenomenal, there is truly "None Better Anywhere". I am proud to have trained here for 14 years and would highly recommend it to everyone!

Owner fired the only real instructor he had April of last year. Now he mostly just screams at kids and parents about how they don't do enough for him. Most people don't go here anymore because of that. Not positive, not healthy.Had to move from last two locations for not paying his rent.I cannot believe the Kent Parks Department would put kids in this kind of environment, they must not be aware. Please check the owner, Rick Wayne Dye's criminal record BEFORE you let you kids near him.A simple visit to watch a class should be enough to make you want to go somewhere else, cause they teach kids martial arts with fear & intimidation.

This is an excellent school for my son. The instructor teaches them respect and self discipline. He may have moved from other locations, but not for the reasons listed in other review. My son went from not knowing nothing about martial arts to being able to defend himself. I call this progress that I am very happy about it.
